This company cancelled the catering for our event on the day prior to the event, without so much as a courtesy phone call. We tried to use this service to book a private dining experience. We booked the date and spoke about the menu on the phone on 10-18 and received an invoice for the cost on 10-19. The due date on the invoice was 10-21, the date of the event. I tried to pay it on 10-20, but the invoice was already deleted and our event cancelled. As per their policy, events must be paid in full 10 days prior to the event unless agreed upon in writing. Being that I received an electronic invoice with a due date of 10-21, I had believed this to be the "in writing" agreement that the policy referenced. I had no reason to doubt the date listed on the invoice and the owner didn't mention anything else about invoice due dates during our previous phone call. Upon inquiry, they stated that the reason for cancelling our event was because we hadn't paid the invoice, despite it not being yet due. On top of this, they didn't have the courtesy of giving me a phone call to tell me that they cancelled, despite the invoice not being yet due! This is incredibly inconvenient as it leaves me no time to find an alternative caterer. Do not rely on this team for your events unless you are willing to tolerate a last minute cancellation due to their poor management and communication.
