Very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. I love coming here especially for lunch. Great food at a fantastic price. Service is great with a friendly staff. I only eat at a few restaurants when visiting the area and this is one of them. I will return again and recommend to others to try this gem!
We went to Gilbey's during the songwriter's festival in 2015. The quality of the food & service were great! I am VERY picky about my seafood. They not only hit the mark, but are my new favorite place for oysters :) well done!
Worse customer services ever. We drove from Ohio TO vacation here because we heard it was super nice an pretty an people were so nice. However we heard this place was great if you weren't a huge fan of sea food. We arrive at 7pm for dinner an requested 9 for our party an they rudely replied you do know theirs other places to eat other than here right? I'd be surprised if their in business much longer. Can't comment on their food since they didn't seem to want our money. No one else on the island had a problem taking our $200 plus for dinner each night.
The service was outstanding, the food was great. Will eat there again next time I visit
There were so many safety violations on this trip, I don't know where to start. Suffice it to say that the Indy 500 driver who called himself a captain left us senior citizen-paying stooges outside to get drenched from the water he kicked up with his wild driving while he partied upstairs with his beer-guzzling friends. Soaked to the skin in February's chill, we could not move because he was rocking the boat so much (the seas were only moderate). When we finally made our way inside, we were wet through to our underwear and chilled to the point of hypothermia. The deck hands were neither prepared nor equipped to help people soaked and chilled. No heaters. No hand warmers. No blankets. Not even a dry pair of socks for frozen feet. (If the office people had told us to bring dry clothes as a back up, we would have done so.) No equipment for drying or warming was available —nor was any sort of help offered. We were mostly ignored. I asked one of the hands for help. He refused with, “This is a fishing trip." We asked for black garbage bags. We cut holes for our heads and huddled inside them for the next 5 hours. Some people did get to fish (they were on the dry side of the boat initially). But not for long. This trip was race out, grab your limit, race back and then demand exorbitant tips. Don't walk away from Zeke's! Run! Bad service to the max and quite possibly illegal with its lack of equipment or protocols for attending to passengers' health and safety!
