MOLLIE'S HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE at California Veterinary Specialist in Ontario.Mollie walked in: 5 days later she was wheeled out in a bag on a gurney. Mollie was diagnosed with Gallbladder Mucocele, a condition which requires EMERGENCY SURGERY TO REMOVE THE GALLBLADDER BEFORE IT RUPTURES.Mollie's regular vet phoned CVS to explain her condition and urgent situation. The surgeon said they could perform the surgery. However neglected to tell her vet that they would wait until the following day, when they had A FULL STAFF. It was 19+ hrs after I took Mollie over that they finally performed the surgery. Mollie's gallbladder had ruptured by then. I was told they cleaned it out really well. He said she would have been dead in 2 days if they didn't do the surgery. Well they did and she was dead in 3 days. After a rupture, death is certain, do to Peritonitis. The following days Mollie showed signs of peritonitis, however, the Doctors kept telling me she was resting comfortably and these signs were all NORMAL symptoms after surgery. A vet tech found Mollie dead in her cage Saturday evening. At that point they phoned me to tell me they were giving her CPR - I TOLD THEM TO STOP, JUST LEAVE HER ALONE. I would be there the next morning to pick her up. I was told by the doctor, Dr. Hoose, she would put her in the FREEZER. VERY THOUGHTFUL ON HER PART. The owners refunded all of the charges, $5,900.00. The surgeon called to express his condolences on Monday, and said he wanted to learn from this experience so thathe could do things differently next time. I told him, Mollie was not an experiment, she was my life. As a result of this horrible experience, I have learned much about her condition from other vets and research I have done. All I wanted was the truth. I wouldn't have let my best friend suffer and die alone in a cage. I am keeping my promise to Mollie to spread the word about this SO CALLED EMERGENCY HOSPITAL. These people are unethical, incompetent, and negligent. As you will find below from the California Business and Professions Code - Section 4875.1.(1) Negligence or incompetence that involves death or serious bodily injury to an animal patient, such that the veterinarian or registered veterinary technician represents a danger to the publicIT IS FOR MOLLIE'S SUFFERING LOCKED IN A CAGE FOR THE REMAINING DAYS OF HER LIFE DYING FROM INFECTION AND THESE SO CALLED SPECIALISTS, I FEEL I MUST SHARE MY STORY. If I spare one person from going through what Mollie and I went through I will be grateful

Was definitely NOT SATISFIED with the services I got at this vet clinic for the amount of money I spent (1000$+). He gave my dog medications that hurt my puppies health. Reading the rest of reviews I can agree he very interested in running up your tab when he sees the opportunity. I took my puppy here for the "affordable prices" to get his shots. While he was getting his shots my puppies stool was coming out watery and took him to get treated for it. It turns out he had glaccidia and another parasite infection so I paid for the treatment. Turns out one of the medications he gave my puppy was making him very sick. He was losing his vision and his eyes would barely open. Eventually the medication caused my puppy to throw up and run a high fever as his body went into shock so immediately I took him to the vet worried he might have caught parvo but suspecting it was the medication. This is where I believe he saw an opportunity to make money insisting I have him stay over night so that Pablo "wouldn't die from high fever." I didn't want my puppy to die so I paid 600+ dollars. He even suggested I do another day lol. So when I went to pick him up I stopped giving him the medication to see if that was the problem. It was! I had given it to again because I knew it was important to fight the parasites. He threw up again and his body went into shock. I treated him that night by putting wet towel on his body and he made it through the night. The vet was responsible for the shock that cost me 600+ dollars to treat. I told him that the medication caused him to throw up and he thought I was crazy. I told him I didn't appreciate him giving my puppy bad medication and he said it was most likely because he was allergic to it. Horrible service and he will take advantage of your wallet given the opportunity. Simply said, "LOOK FOR ANOTHER VET."
I have been taking my pets (aka my babies) to AR Animal Hospital since 2002. The Doctor and his staff have always been caring and compassionate when taking care of them. He calls after major procedures to check on the health of my pet. HIs staff is kind and always interested in how my babies are doing. I have boarded them here and they have received excellent care. I will continue to use AR Animal Hospital to keep my babies healthy and happy. Great doctor and great staff!!
if you care anything about your pet and your money, stay away from this hidious place.
•Absolutely love Dr. Sidhu, his staff, and AR Animal Hospital. I have been taking my two cats to him for over a year and every time I go the staff greets me with a kind smile and help my cats feel comfortable and less scared of being at the vet. Dr. Sidhu is very compassionate with them and does a through exam every time. I am very happy every time I visit and am very glad I found Dr. Sidhu and his staff. Highly recommend this place!
This place is a joke. My Yorkie poodle fell down the stairs and broke both of his front legs. When taking him here for treatment, they specifically told us that due to the way the bones broke, they could not set the bones (put them back together) and that he needed surgery that would cost between $5-10K! They splinted both legs leaving them broken and without setting an appointment, said we would have to wait for the surgeon that would be in three days from then. We could not wait around without a solid appt to be seen or for the surgery date to be set, so we had the xrays looked at by another surgeon who was able to make an appointment for the surgery 5 days from then. When the puppy was brought in for the surgery, the surgeon was in DISBELIEF that the bones were not set (put back together before being splinted) at all! They left the bones broken, sitting side to side, and they had calcified and started healing broken! The new surgeon said that the break was such a clean break that he was a PERFECT candidate for the bones to be reset and was outraged that they didn't do such a simple thing before splinting them. If the bones had been set before being splinted the way they SHOULD HAVE BEEN, my puppy might not have needed the surgery that the new surgeon was able to do for $4000. CVS obviously wanted that $10K surgery so bad, they splinted my poor puppy's leg without setting it because they knew that would secure the need for surgery. When I called them to ask why they didn't set the bones, they said they "stabilized the leg" with the splint. Any common sense vet would have known to set the broken legs before splinting. Don't take your pets to this incompetent, money-hungry, lying place.
DO NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS BUTCHER. HE WILL KILL YOUR BELOVED ANIMALS AND CHARGE YOU A FORTUNE TO DO IT. HE IS CRUEL AND WIILL ONLY STEAL YOUR MONEY HE BUTCHERED MY CAT AND STILL WAS TRYING TO GET MORE MONEY OUT O F ME. THEY DO NOT TAKE CARE OF THE ANIMALS. THEY ARE UNSUPERVISED AND LEFT TO DIE IN PAIN. HOW I REGRET TAKING MY ANIMAL THERE. IF I WOULD OF READ THE REVIEWS I WOULD OF NEVER STEPPED ONE FOOT IN THERE. PLEASE PLEASE TAKE YOUR ANIMALS SOMEWHERE ELSE.
I am not trying to do anything bad to this vet, i just want to stop people from taking their animals to this cruel guy. This will tell you enough, he left my dog paralyzed and didnt even care. I went and posted a bad review on yelp and he keeps deleting the bad reviews so that people think he is good. If you on yelp look for his filtered reviews and you will see how he takes them off. If anyone wants me to tell them how horrible of an experience I lived please feel free to email me at email@example.com. Ill even send you pics of my dog.
"In a nutshell: THANK YOU DR SIDHU AND STAFF FOR SAVING OUR BABY'S LIFE!!! In many words: Lily, our 7 months old Border Collie pup was having diarrhea and was vomiting for a good 36 hours. When her diarrhea turned bloody, we immediately rushed her to the A R Animal Hospital, they took her vitals, it turned out, she also had an extremely high fever. Little later Dr Sidhu came in and examined her as well, and put her on IV fluids and antibiotics right away. Since Lily was current on all her shots, the Dr highly doubted, it could be Parvo, but he started to treat her as it was. On the 2nd day, she was hospitalized they did a Parvo test on her, and it came back as STRONG positive, which means it was an aggressive infection, like she has never been vaccinated! We were stunned, but kind of relieved - the actual diagnosis didn't take too long - and Lily's stayed hospitalized for 5 more days, longer, than expected, but like I said, the infection was a particularly nasty one. On the 6th day she was offered food, and water, she kept it down, as well as on the 7th, when we could finally take her home, with a strict diet for a few days, slowly transitioning her back to her own food. She continued to have mild diarrhea for an additional 10 days, but now she's back to her old chippy self, and gained back all the weight, she's lost (more, than half her whole body weight!). Again, thank you Dr Sidhu and staff for the best Christmas present, we could ever get, our baby's life! And thank God for finding this hospital - it was pure luck, as we just moved recently, and this was the closest animal hospital to our house. Dr Sidhu is the best in every aspect, he gives you options on what could be done, very patient, takes time to explain EVERYTHING, and instead of getting annoyed by all the questions, he answers them one by one! I also have to mention the best vet nurses ever, who are super passionate, loving and caring, we could never have asked for better care!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU AR ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!!!"
