Quick and professional with several vehicle options. The agent even helped out with a couple of fees. Would recommend to a friend.
Enterprise service was very fast, the agent was kind and expanded there options as well for any other service's that I may need. From Oneonta NY to Bronx NY enterprise Inc. Treated me very well! The only thing I had a problem with is one of the car's, I got needed moter work. But I traded it in and they gave me no problems. Gave me another car, thank god this one worked well but for some reason steering wheel would not lock. So would bounce while driving. I'm so glad that I got full coverage because on the way back home from New York city. Some joke slammed his brakes, I was only going 30 but I slammed my brakes too and turned wheel so I would not hit head on. I stopped waited and called 911.
I had called the oneonta branch and spoke with a Sierra and she answered my questions and told me we were all set for minivan rental for a Girl Scout trip. I even visited the office and she told me she put my reservation in. We ordered all the tickets for a trip to the Boston Aquarium and Duck tour, a total of over $300. The day came to pick up the vehicle we arrive and the guy at the counter can not find our reservation. He then proceeded to tell us he had an extra minivan and didn't know why and rented it 20 minutes prior to us showing up. He had no alternatives for us and basically said sorry and that was it. So what were we supposed to do? At that time of day all the other rental companies were closed, and we had already purchased our tickets. I will never, ever rent or attempt to rent from them again and I will warn anyone who tells me they intend to, what happened to us. Completely unacceptable customer service and awful representatives.
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a car rental company and their car. I rented there once before, and the young woman behind the counter seems to not be in a good mood and has been pretty snippy at times. The car: the person who had it before me must have smoked in it the entire time they had it. When I opened the car door, the stench of stale smoke came out in a wave. The entire car reeked ! The Enterprise rental office was already closed, so there was nothing I could do about it - I had a very important conference to get to. I had to have some of my clothes cleaned when I got to the conference, and wash them all when I got home, they smelled so badly from being in that car. I was literally nauseous when I reached my destination and after the return trip, even with the windows open (in 38 degree weather on the way down). There was such a greasy film on the inside of the windshield that even after trying to clean it 3 times, I was almost blinded by the glare off the film when the sun hit it. The inside of the rest of the windows was only slightly less blurry but was still tough to see through. I spoke with Enterprise Customer Service and even sent them an email, but while the woman I spoke to was friendly, I have never gotten a single word of follow-up communication. I rent cars fairly often for business but I will never rent from Enterprise again.
