More interested in squeezing out ridiculous labor and parts fee than providing fair prices and repairs. Their quote which they would only give after a $90 fee was a full $150 higher than high quotes from other companies
Terrible company....Quote for a new AC was over a thousand dollars higher then other companies in town plus we were charged for the quote which is ridiculous
Josh Whetstone will let you down. He is a fraud. He kept a machine he was supposedly fixing for over a year. Only brought it back when I threatened to call the police. He never fixed it and I'm not sure he even know how to fix restaurant equipment.
Omaha A1United Heater and Air Conditioning. A1 Plumbing, Heating, Air Conditioning, and RefrigerationTechnicians and their general manager are rude and unprofessional. They went to my house charged $90.95 to clean a sensor. They heater wasn’t yet working as it should.I called again and another technician came who identified apparently a second issue and to extra charge $400.00 and didn’t want to apply what was paid couple days before for poor service and doing nothing. His technician Mark was rude, raised his voice and didn’t want to leave my property – just an unacceptable behavior. Today I faxed a letter to the owner, Mr. Barr and their management team but they care less and didn’t apologize. Shame on them. They shouldn’t be in business. If they continue practicing unethical behavior they won’t be in business for too long. Shame on them! The DON"T deserve to have any customers.I contacted the BBB for a refund. ZERO stars for them. ZERO!
Do not use Jackson for anything! They can't diagnose the problem, they charge an arm and a leg for parts, they break parts then charge you for the new part, only to then tell you to buy new ovens. It took 5 house calls, two months waiting for parts, $364, then nothing was fixed! The woman in the office is very rude, the techs are incompetent, and they tell you one thing, then do another, and deny what was said.
I had an over-the-range microwave oven stop cooking. Since I didn’t want a tech scratching up my cabinetry, I removed the microwave myself (disconnecting the vent ducting, etc.) and took in for in-shop repair on a Monday. It was supposed to be ready at the end of the week. Before they would work on it I had to pre-pay for the repair (weird but okay). Friday came and no call from Andy’s. I called and they said they have to order parts and it would be another week. Well, in Omaha I happen to know you can get parts in one day from at least two different parts suppliers. So a week for parts is a bit of a stretch. Next week came and again, no call. I called on Thursday and they were closed at 4:00pm for the day. The next day the Lincoln office called back and said it would be ready next Monday (15 days). I explained this was there for two weeks and unacceptable plus I needed it for Mother’s Day weekend. The tech said she ‘Would do what she could’. When I escalated and asked to talk with the manager (Greg) he would not even talk to me! What kind of manager won’t talk with a concerned customer?? This kind of customer service is amazing in this day and age. It eventually got fixed on Friday afternoon. When I picked it the microwave cabinet was not put back together and had a large gap in the front where you could see inside the microwave (and there are pictures). In fairness the tech did offer correct the issue but I just wanted a working microwave – gap and all. I corrected the issue by reinstalling the panels correctly and mounted it back over the range. This was my first experience with Andy’s and I definitely will not be back.
I was refered to Jackson for a warranty repair. The technician said it would take three days to get the part and he would need extra help to move the appliance. Three days later, I called about the repair and was told it would take 7 days to get the part. So, no working refrigerator and since it was December, I was storing food in my car. Checked again on the part and was told it was still backed ordered and would be even longer. Customer service with Jackson is horrible since I was the one doing the checking, and I received no calls from them on the status of my repair. After three weeks, I was told the part was in, and since my appliance sat on a platform, they were sending two techs to move it. The next day a technician shows up but said the other guy is behind and he's going to lunch to wait on him. He then calls me about an hour later to say the repar may not happen today because the other guy is still behind. I have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks, and now I need to continue waiting? I spoke to Jackson and now they inform me I would need to "hire somebody" to move the refrigerator to do the repair. Really? Are you kidding me? Why was I never told that? After putting me on hold, she comes back with, we will send two techs, but it's going to cost you $60.00. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a repair company. Jackson clearly was holding me hostage to pay under duress for the repair aware that I had NO options and had been without a refrigerator for weeks. Never again will I deal with Jackson Home Appliance Heating and Cooling.
I hired A-1 United to service my air conditioner last year. They found the unit to be very low on Freon and replaced the Freon. They informed me that everything else looked great and charged me $365 for 5 lbs of Freon and labor. I then found that at first use this year the air conditioner was not blowing cold air again. I had someone else come to look at it and it was low on Freon again. After speaking with several HVAC service companies I've learned that the fact that my system needed 5 lbs of Freon last year pointed to an obvious leak in the system. Had A-1 United simply told me my system had a leak I would have been able to fix it last year and not have to pay for Freon twice. I called A-1 United and spoke with their service manager to discuss my concerns. He was unwilling to do anything to own up to his company's mistake. I fully believe that A-1 has a large staff of great techs but one obviously was not sent to my home. A reputable company would have understood this and taken care of their customer. I was very shocked to be so callously shrugged off by the heating and air company that is consistently rated Best of Omaha.
