After David finished installing the wood flooring downstairs, we were left with extra wood flooring and decided to also replace the carpet in the game room and hallway upstairs. David was able to fit us in immediately with no downtime, even though he was planning a trip out of town. It is this type of professionalism and the added personal touch, that keeps us coming back! The upstairs flooring was complete in a day and a half, with the furniture moved back to its original place, all the debris removed and all work areas neat and clean. David and New Era Remodeling, comes highly recommended by our family!

Life Saver / Great Contractor:We only had a week to prepare our house for sale because my husband got a new job in another State. NewEraRepairs.com was referred to us by a friend. We also read a lot of good reviews about this company online. Without any hesitation, we gave the house key to David Sabet, the owner of New Era and hit the road. David kept us informed by emails on daily bases and sent us pictures as the project progressed. They fixed some cracks in walls & ceilings and painted the interior of the house; fixed some doors and windows; re-finished the kitchen cabinets, the front door, and some varnished steps of the stairway which were badly scratched by our dogs; did some beautiful landscaping; did some electrical and plumbing as well. They worked very well with our Realtor too. They worked around the clock to get the house ready on time for the Realtor. Amazingly, the house was sold in 2 weeks after the repairs were done. David is a life saver! Five stars are just too few for these guys – they deserve 10! Oh, by the way, their price was fabulous and the quality of work were confirmed by the Realtor to be great! What a great experience! What a great contractor!
Terrific Handyman:We had a water pipe burst in our front lawn last night so we called our favorite handyman to come to our rescue. He came late in the evening, turned off our water and assessed the damage. Came back this morning and spent most of the day repairing the pipe broken due to root growth. He charged me almost half of what I paid the last plumber who was at my home 45 minutes. If you need anything done around your home, I would start by calling David Sabet - he is terrific and can do just about anything. If he can't tackle the job he will tell you and recommend someone that can.David SabetNew Era Remodeling & Repairsservice@newerarepairs.comwww.newerarepairs.com469-288-6418

Professional, Courteous, and Friendly Contractor:New Era Remodeling & Repairs was recommended to me by a neighbor. I had just had an upgrade done to our home by another local contractor that was nothing short of a struggle. Needless to say I was very Leary about how to select another contractor for any additional work on my home. I asked David if he would be interested in giving me a bid on repainting my wrought iron fence around the yard. He arrived promptly, took only 10 minutes to survey the job and provide me a verbal estimate. We agreed to a price and when I asked him when he could to the job he responded "How about tomorrow" (Saturday)... As promised that afternoon he delivered the paint and products. As promised his crew arrived at 7:15 a.m. on Saturday to start the job. His crew was professional and very courteous and friendly. They complete the job by 1:00 p.m. as promised. My wife and David went over several other jobs that she requested bids from him on. The first job he did was flawless. We will no doubt schedule a few more projects for David and continue to evaluate his work. But for now, based on the first job, I can recommend him as a very skilled and competent contractor that will perform exactly as he tells you he will. I look forward to working with him in the future and will update my review as jobs are completed.
Good ContractorShowed up for appointment on time; provided detailed written estimate; Started the project on time and did a good job. Painted the interior walls, doors, and ceilings. Repaired eaves and fascia, repaired roof, repaired and stained the fences, and did some landscaping. Also did some plumbing and electrical work. Refinished 2 tubs and a shower pan. Replaced the carpet in 1 room. Re-grouted and caulked 2 bathroom walls and re-finished some cabinets. After the buyer inspector gave us his report, we hired New Era again to do a few other minor repairs and sold the house just 2 weeks ago. New Era’s prices were good too.
Exceeded Our ExpectationsWe contacted 3 contractors to remodel our home for preparation for sale. Only 1 of them responded with a detail and competitive estimate. We liked the way the owner of New Era, David Sabet, professionally responded to our needs and we decided to hire him immediately. He and his crew remodeled two bathrooms, painted one bedroom, repaired some walls, replaced all the carpets, and installed hardwood floor in the office above and beyond our expectations. We enjoyed doing business with him and his crew. They worked in our house for 3 weeks. They showed up every day on time and clean up after themselves at the end of every day. David informed us of the progress of the project on daily bases. Their work did not alter our comfort at home. They Exceeded our expectations in many ways.
He never showed up to our appointment. He didn't even call to say he was running late or to reschedule.
This is the most unprofessional company I have worked with. I hired him on April 24, 2015 to build a deck frame and a RV, 2Car, and bonus room secondary garage. I was quoted a little over $50,000 for these two projects. Well here we are to almost the end of July and all that has been done is a deck frame and not even a good one! I had to threaten to fire him if he didn't show up because he kept telling me that he would start next week for almost two months. The only reason I had any communication with him after the contract was signed was because I emailed him. He never submitted for any permits and kept telling me that our delay was due to this drywall job- who apparently now is refusing to pay $8,000 until August sometime when he can come back to WA and inspect the job. This apparently affects his working capital so instead of working on my job he will be using more time to make up for his lost income by going and doing other jobs I guess. I’m pretty sure that he took my money to buy materials for this drywall job instead of using it for my job only, because I have asked him twice now where my money is and he cannot even answer the question. After two months of being in contract he showed up for 4 days at 3 hours a day to work on my deck, most of the time unannounced and would just let himself onto my property. I finally fired him after being 3 months in contract and only hearing excuses as to why he could not start our job. I requested a refund of the $16,000 that I gave as a deposit. I requested $12,500 as the remainder to be refunded as I saw this amount fair for the deck materials and about $50 an hour for labor. He tells me that my deck was worth $7,500 in work! I asked for receipts for materials (he still has not provided them to me let alone tell me where my money for my job is) and he tells me that material alone was a little over $2,000. Ok so say $2500 in materials to be fair that means that leaves his hourly rate at $239 an hour! He and one other guy worked a total of maybe 21 hours over that few days and the deck beams are so crooked and off that I have ends that are not secured to beams in certain rows. He even had the nerve to tell me that at one point there were 3 people working at my home- I was home most of the 4 days he was here and never once saw 3 people. He didn't even listen to me when I told him how I actually wanted my deck and I don't understand how our contract says approx. 25 feet but then it really only measures out to 17 feet- when I bring this up to him the first time he gave me an attitude. The only work that has been done for the garage is the string outline and even that is crooked and one side is shorter than the other. He didn't even bother to double check with me about where I really wanted it because again no notice as to what time he was coming over so that I could be there. His emails from day one have been mildly unprofessional and I have mainly explained to me about someone else's project that he's apparently had a lot of problems on. What I don't understand is how he had a fully funded project with my garage and yet I can’t get him to be here and work in a timely manner, on top of the fact that I live in a newly developing community where everyone has enough land to put garages, etc. and needs fences built, why would you not take that opportunity to expand your business and do the job properly and within a reasonable amount of time. I have given him until August 3, 2015 to refund me my money and I have yet to get any receipts or time slips. He wanted money right away but yet when I ask for a refund and give him 2 weeks to provide it to me he can’t even refund me because he is trying to overcharge me for his horrible work. He hasn’t even attempted to refund me the $8,500 he originally told me he would write me a check for- to which I have refused. He will not even communicate with me in a timely manner to come to some sort of agreement about the refund of my money.
Good Roofing Contractor:Hired New Era Remodeling & Repairs to do some roof repairs. Because the roof was leaking, they first repaired our roof for a nominal fee. Then, they suggested that we contact our insurance company and ask them to pay for replacing the entire roof as our roof was about 20 years old. Surely, our insurance company agreed to pay for the replacement of our roof and the gutters. New Era replaced our entire roof and gutter system at no cost to us. They even gave us credit for the initial roof repairs. They covered our deductible too. This roofing job cost us absolutely nothing – not even a penny! We are very pleased with the way David Sabet, the owner of New Era, and his workers conducted themselves. We will certainly use their remodeling services again for our home improvement projects and will not hesitate to recommend them to our relatives and friends.
