On two separate Sunday mornings I have ordered the classic breakfast. Day one the eggs were overcooked and cold. Had to wait 65 minutes to be served. Day two waited 20 minutes. Eggs were poached but food was cold. Wife's eggs also cold but the Benedict flavor was very good.
Ordered a German Chocolate 3 layer cake for my sons birthday and was very disappointed. It was two layers and very dry. Most German Chocolate cakes are heavy and very moist. This was not. The coconut filling was only on top. Should have been in between the layers. Very disappointed and won't go there again.
I went in there, to ask a few questions about there laminated dough and venoiserie selection. not only did the middle aged blonde woman, refuse to answer my questions, she said she didn't have time for me (customer), and practically threw me out the door, I used to think that this bakery might be the hope of an expanding culinary future for olympia. Now I realize that if that is what represents olympia customer service, than I would rather drive through traffic to seattle, If for nothing else, then for a hospitality industry to remember, that it's not retail, therefore I am not a customer, I am a guest. You don't just pay for the food, you also pay for the attitude and atmosphere (aka...both cold). Not to mention the fact, that if they have any experience on marzipan or gumpaste flowers, then they need to try harder, the reason they are supposed to look so real, is due to the thinness of the edge of the petals.
