I have bought three guns from this shop. None of which were bought from the guy and lady friend who have been there last two times i have been in there. You and your attitude need adjusting. Get a personality for gods sake. I have purchased 3 guns. Luckily you werent there. I wont be buying anymore. There are way too many other places to shop. Good bye
The Gun Exchange in Olive Branch, MS is by far the best gun experience I have had in the Memphis area. I have tried several privately owned businesses that left a bad taste in my mouth from the largely overpriced firearms to the cheap, underpowered and reloaded ammo they wanted to sell me for the price you would pay for personal defense ammo. I had been waiting on a Glock G30 for seven weeks from another local gun shop in Germantown and had had enough. I cancelled my order and got my money back. I went to the Gun Exchange and after taking the time to thoroughly check his distributors, Jeff located the gun and had it next day shipped to his store. Ordered on a Thursday and received on a Friday (one day later) after waiting for SEVEN WEEKS from the prior establishment. I was promptly greeted when I entered the store and Jeff was more than willing to hear what I proposed for a trade (which he gave me a VERY fair trade-in value), and we were able to come to a deal that we both felt good about. Then, feeling very satisfied with my purchase, I decided to purchase another gun Jeff had in stock already. Not only did Jeff go out of his way to give me a great deal on both guns, but he went out of his way to hand deliver them to my Memphis FFL for transfer of the handguns so I could pick them up the next day. The store is clean and well kept with a large selection of both relevant home defense handguns and elegant 1911s. The store is well stocked with both a large selection of long guns and handguns for hunting and personal defense. The ammunition in stock ranges from general plinking ammo to high-quality Hornady and Sig personal defense. I would say that the other reviewers are just up tight that they feel like prices are too high (which I can tell you they aren't), Jeff is willing to match any Academy Sports price that he has in stock. People don't understand that you need businesses like this because even though you may pay $10-20 more for a handgun or heaven forbid an extra $3 for a bottle of gun oil, supporting local business is the life-blood of this country and I would much rather spend an extra $50 on my gun (but I actually paid below Academy's price) and would gladly pay $5 more for gun oil for the amount of great customer service that I received. If you ever question that, ask the sales person at Academy where you send your gun if it malfunctions the first time you use it? They're going to tell you to send it back to the manufacturer (on your dime) because all sales are final and it's not their problem. When you are faced with that, then tell me you would rather pay $15 less for your personal defense weapon instead of supporting a local business that will stand behind the guns they sell. If I could give The Gun Exchange six stars I would, but as it is I can only give them five.
And if you were wondering where I went with my other experiences, I will tell you:
Keith Warner - High Priced Guns, Low Customer Service
Arms Fair - They are terrible all the way around, Glock should pull their Blue Label dealership
Range USA - Fairly nice staff, but you will pay an extra 5-10%, they seem to be very proud.
Academy - Decent prices (Jeff will match), but overall knowledge base of staff is low.
Classic Arms - Not the largest selection and not a Glock dealer, but overall good shop.
Accent Guns and Loans - Some staff is nice, but inconsistent with pricing and their current stock. Couldn't even give me an accurate price to Cerakote my pistol, no one knew the actual price.
Wal-Mart - To be honest, I won't step foot in one.
The Gun Exchange - I won't go anywhere else.

I have been looking for a good gun shop around the olive branch area so i find this place and read the reviews. They seem to be split so you either love this place or not. i decided to go in and see what was actually going on.
I walked in and was greeted by who i suppose was the owner seemed nice until i started asking questions about pricing and his stock. He then got a ""better-than-you"" attitude. I told him if i offended him i was sorry but the attitude was not needed. I got pissed and then told me to leave.
If you aren't an expert on guns or don't agree with his prices (which are very high) then this is not the place to go. i too cannot wait for them to go out of business.

I have traded and purchased from Jeff the owner several
times. I could not have asked for a more fair trade any of those times! He is very smart and helpful about guns. I see the mention of him being arrogant and I don't see it!
If anyone fits that; its Guns and Ammo in Southaven.

The integrity and response of Jeff at The Gun Exchange is simply outstanding. I could not have asked more from a friend dealing in person let alone an internet contact. He is clearly a fine man and given the opportunity in the future I would not hesitate to do business with him.

I bought a glock 23 there. They were super nice and helpful as I spent my $550. A month later I came back, and needed help with a gun and like everyone says, the guy there (I don't know which one was the owner)spent time talking about how high everyone else was at the recent gun show???His prices were as high as anyones. Bottom line, if you are spending money with them, you get personality #1(helpful), if you have spent money with them but are not soending today, personality #2(arrogant and self centered). Go to the Trading Post, Guns and Ammo...ect. I won't be back and like the other poster said, I look forward to seeing them go out of business as well.

Prices are giving with attitude...They all have a better than thou complex about them...Prices are Ridiculous high retail....The best thing about people like this is take your guns in, fit the accesories you want on, you know, find out what you want...Then get online and buy the same stuff for up to 200$ cheaper on some things...They act like no one has the internet??? As for buying without an FFL, there are plenty of people around here that do sales out of their home and they will charge you 25$ over what it costs for using their license...Hell there's a shop in Southaven that charges 100-125$ for using their FFL...It's just disgusting...Go there, find exactly what you want, then high tail it home to your computer...Game over

I have been to this place several times and have made a couple purchases, each time I leave unsatisfied. Customer service in the store and on the phone is HORRIBLE! The owner treats the customers as if they are ignorant and bothering him. That attitude obviously bleeds over to the other staff. The prices are high. I only kept coming to this place because it was the closet gun shop to my house. From now on, I will use Guns & Ammo in Southaven or Double Barrel (GREAT SERVICE) in OB.

I found the owner to be efficient, professional and polite. He got me exactly what I wanted at a better price than I could have gotten even at Cheaper Than Dirt. I'm a female and was treated respectfully. I can't say that of all the gun shops I've been in. On the two days I was there, the store was packed but the owner and staff members were taking care of everyone promptly. Everyone was happy as far as I could tell.
