Long story short, had two 50 gallon water heaters start leaking and go out. Ended up getting a bid from John Crossett for 4 different options, each explained in detail. I went with a new tankless setup with no regrets. The install was quick and painless. You have to appreciate a mechanical professional who: A) is a one man show hauling around all that old equipment, 2) knows the product inside and out, and C) doesn’t leave behind a trail of disaster behind him. John is super-fast. He was in and out in just over 3 hours. Clean as a whistle, I mean it’s refreshing to have a plumber who doesn’t take a break every ten minutes to suck down a Marlboro then leave the smell of ash tray lingering for days, or track insulation bits from stem to stern while traipsing up and down the stairs with full on plumbers crack. I’m not judging, I used to be a smoker and must admit I have a bit of plumbers crack, so don’t take offense if you are this plumber and happen to be reading the glowing review of your competition. I’m just saying, John isn’t that guy. He has a job to do and he does it well. He answered my list of questions about maintenance and pretended not to notice my lingering curiosity of the installation process. So to John Crossett and Rapid Water Heaters, thank you for a job well done. It made this hellish experience and the angst of an unexpected home repair expense far more manageable. I feel like I should drop flyers from Chopper 4 across the metro to sing your praises. Now I’m going to take a long hot shower and soak up the awesomeness of instant hot water. Cheers.
These guys are changing an industry stereotype one job at a time. Most plumbers we've hired tend to be fuddy-duddies running their operations in the 20th Century. Rapid Water Heaters installed our tankless heater quickly, and even though it wasn't an emergency, they completed our installation in less than 2-hours. They are for sure the best water heater plumbers in OKC!
Be very careful using their service. It is a rip-off. We had a toilet leak, the tech's name is Paul. All he did was turned off the water and did not fix the leak, paid $98. We had to call him again the next day and this time he replaced the valve but we were charged again for $125. Paul twisted the fact and claimed the issue was not related.
DO NOT call them. When I called for an estimate, I felt he was being courteous by willing to come give me a free estimate. After telling me the estimate, before he would do the work, he wanted me to sign a paper agreeing to the amount. It also stated he is not responsible for damages. SHOULD HAVE SEEN THE RED FLAG !He told me he does not commit to a job, unless the person commits to him doing it.Did he lie !! He didn't finish the job, said my husband would have to finish it. Then wanted me to pay him half of the estimate. Not to mention another possible problem he said wasn't even included in the estimate. As he left, he said he didn't feel like working on it any more, that it wasn't worth his time to stay. That he had another job to go to. Yet he told be he would never leave a job until it was finished before leaving the site for another job. Yet another lie !!! DO NOT GIVE HIM A CHANCE !!! I know we all look for bargains, but this is a total rip off. He would also not tell me the work he was going to do until I signed the paper.
