I absolutely love my Goodwill Thrift stores, but.... this one has started giving you intercom reminders of when the are closing, starting about 15 after 8 and continuing until the last person is in line. After using the intercom he then walks thru the store going down isles stating what time it is and how much time is left. I happened to be on a isle across from 2 employees when one ask why are you yelling the time every 2 or 3 minutes, and the other one responded "most of these idiots cant tell time". Then i was in line at 20 min till 9 when all the lights inside the store were turned off. At that time there was still about 8 people in the store including a 2 year old child who started screaming! I almost stopped going to this location after all this, but decided I would go again maybe this was just a bad night.....yeah right. I walk in and the same man from the intercom was standing close to the door (usually your greeted with welcome to goodwill) I was greeted with, you have 40 min ma'am. I responded yes I know. I didn't even get to the carts before the intercom went off stating the time and what's left. Then down the isles he goes yelling how much time is left before closing. A total of 8 times until I was at the register at 10 till 9. This night the lights went out at 15 till. And I understand wanting to be out at 9 when the store closes, but this is a bit extreme. Having someone following you around the store yelling the time is unnerving to say the least. And shopping in the dark....well you get the idea! Treating adults as if they were 3 yrs old and don't understand the meaning of hours and time, and yelling at them the whole time is beyond ridiculous!!! And making extremely rude comments about customers should be grounds for termination. Ivery never been treated that badley in any retail setting ever! Needless to say that was my last trip to that location. There are plenty of good wills around that treat customers with respect and smiles.
If you make your payments on time and have nothing to say to them, everything is just fine. If you have a question, let's say over something like online payment schedules, the account management staff is just plain rude and condescending. I purchased my vehicle from this company in July of '09. I have NEVER missed a payment and in fact am usually 3 days early with my bi-weekly payment. For some time now, they have been without an online pay portal, sup[supposedly because they were looking for a new vendor for that service. They are now using the same one they were before (as I was already registered there), and are now charging a $5.00 fee for a one-time payment for a service that used to be no charge. So, I tried setting up scheduled payments online for ACH. I didn't see anything about a $5.00 charge and not wanting to pay that charge every time a payment is made, I called to confirm whther or not it would be assessed each time. The "account manager" I spoke to was extremely rude, obviously reading from a script, and when I continued to ask questions, she said "(Oh, Lord ...), Sir, can I put you on hold?" She didn't wait for me to consent, and I sat on hold for a little over 4 minutes before she hung up. I've worked in technical support and customer service for 4 years now and had I ever treated a customer in such a fashion, I'd have been fired; no questions asked, leave your badge and headset w/ security on your way out the door!
Yes they are fast and easy, but its all bull crap. Anyone with a job can get approved but the cars are WAYYY over priced and your monthly payments are insane. I pay 420 a month for a 2004 car. It is a convertible so the first thing I asked was does it leak? They said no its been checked. So I get the car and put the top down and drive it off the lot. When I then put the top back up I heard water in the back end. I looked and sure enough a huge puddle of water. So I took it back and they said they will fix it and all this crap. Mind you I live an hour n a half away. So they have me drive it up there on Wednesday to get it fixed and they don't fix it. They tell me whats wrong and that I need to bring it back again when I can to then be fixed. So 80 dollars in gas and an entire day so they can fix a problem that they lied to me about in the beginning. And also its gonna take like 5 hours to fix and well I bought a car because i needed one and since they will have it I have to sit at the dealership while its being fixed. And they didnt give a crap about it. And then when I go to get in the car to lave when I shut the door my mirror fell off. THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND ONLY CARE ABOUT THE MONEY THEY GET OFF YOU, NOT YOU AT ALL. Im paying 14,9 for my car and it only books for like 10,9. Look around before you sign your life away with these people.
My overall experience finding my new bedroom was exceptionally great. I had never been in the store before, and was shocked when I walked in and was greeted by a salesman (Dalton Hinton) who encouraged me to just look. I must have looked at probably 50 different bedroom sets, from cheap to way over the top, and everywhere in between. My salesman must have been able to read my mind, because as soon as I began to wonder how soon I could get the bedroom set, he approached me and said he checked stock they had it in and that he would deliver it the NEXT DAY. He also informed me about their 5 year furniture protection, which is a no brainer if I am spending 3000 dollars on the set. He stayed near me for the rest of my shopping experience, answered all my questions, and was very personable. I actually left in a better mood than when I got there. Sure enough, the next morning a delivery driver called me and said he would be by my house between 2-4. They arrived a few min. after 4, but they were very careful setting it all up, and were respectable enough to wipe their feet before coming in. which is probably what set them back a few min. to begin with. I would happily recommend Galleria to anyone who is looking for furniture in OK!
This was one of the best experiences we've had buying furniture. We purchased a bedroom set Feb. 2012. Our salesman was one of the floor managers by the name of Ray Charles. He was very knowledgeable about the furniture and gave us history on the furniture designers and was very helpfull in our desicision process. We compared bedroom sets between Galleria and Mathis Brothers and we were running from store to store and he was very patient with us and wanted us to be happy with our purchase. There was no comparisence between the furniture. Galleria's is prettier by far. He worked with us on the pricing and we were very pleased with purchase. Thought he was going to have to order the bed in and was willing to give us the set off the floor to keep us from waiting, but, they had it in stock. Bedroom set delivered within 2 days which was fast. The box springs to our mattress set wasn't in stock so he had to order them in from Houston. They arrived within two weeks as he promised. From my understanding the store has new managers and they're doing a terrific job building the stores reputation back up. I highly recommend this store for business. Our salesman was awesome.
I bought a 2008 X3 from this dealership. They really worked with my mom and I because the wanted to sell the car, which is why I gave it the two stars. The car has been terrible, nothing but problem after problem. When I wanted to get the oil changed, the seller said, not to worry, they just changed the oil. I started having issues with the car immediately; a broken seal and nasty oil filter which had to be replaced, bad battery, braking Serpentine Belt, brake and 4X4 light coming on in car, window leaking in back seat, not to mention the black oil the seller either put into the car or hadn't changed. Repairs have already cost almost $1000.00 and more repairs are needed. Even the repair shop stated that all of these things should have been addressed before the car was sold! I need a reliable car to get back and forth to work, this is anything but!! Buyer beware!!! Only out to make a quick buck, could car less regarding what they sell.
My last visit to the store was great to begin with, but I was severely disappointed with members of the staff who seemed openly hostile to our family. After only a few minutes browsing the racks (kids clothes), an employee stormed out of the closed door back room, informing me that she had been "Watching your kids on the security camera" and found it abhorant that they had been playing with each other under a rack of clothing. She made a big fuss about how clothes could be knocked off, disturbed, and made a mess, but not one thing had been disturbed in the moments we had been shopping. Nor was anything disturbed in the remaining hour in the store. If this store would like to sell children's things to families, you must actually tolerate the REALITY of children, as patrons within the store. Child-like behavior, is not inappropriate behavior. I don't expect grade A- staff at a thrift store, but this hag needs the boot.
I dropped off my car with 25 pounds of debis from three-year-old twins in the backseat. I finally decided to take it in because the spilled chocolate milk (and recent yogurt spill) were starting to smell a little funny. . . The car didn't look this good when I bought it! There's not a speck of dust anywhere, all of the spots and stains are gone -- there's not so much as a goldfish crumb to be found in there! The staff is very courteous and friendly, and they wouldn't take our payment until we had looked the car over and were satisfied. Because the forecast called for rain over the weekend, we did just an interior detail. We will definitely bring my car back for a full detail in the future, and my husband's truck will get the same treatment next weekend. I highly recommend this business to anyone looking for great service at a great price.
I was very pleased with working out a car deal with Mr. Ajouly. His sales consultants are very informative on their inventory and work with a No-Pressure attitude. I really enjoyed the friendly environment. From what I could tell, it seems Mr. Ajouly works very hard to make sure the only cars he puts on his lot are in almost mint condition mechanically and visually. I was very impressed. Overall, I was only displeased with one thing throught my entire time working out the agreement on my newly purchased lexus. This being that the store is completely a cash or bank check only dealer. However do not let this scare you off, Ajouly Auto Sales helped me get in touch with a very friendly Auto finance company that was able to not only finance me, but also able to get me completely taken care of and off the lot the very same afternoon.
I pulled in to Norris feeling down because I had been looking for a car over a month, getting the run around and loads of bs from other dealers. I was looking at cars and the finance manager came out, I told him I'm just looking, I can't afford these cars. He said give me one chance and if I can't help you I will be straight up. I walked in told him which car I wanted, jimmy the salesman came in and together they worked their magic. I was approved, no co-signer, put a low down and got a 2008 charger with only 49,000 miles on it. Brand new on inside. Even found me cheaper insurance, sent me there. I was crying by the end of my visit. Out in 45 minutes. They will get you financed, don't be discouraged.. go to NORRIS, 700 South MacArthur ask for Jimmy or Cory.. They ROCK!! The locks installed on the doors and windows of every home represent the most common, and perhaps most effective, form of security. That means locks can be taken for granted, until they no longer work properly or the key is lost. Homeowners should work to understand the basics behind these essential household devices, as well as how to address common problems related to them.
The concept behind a lock-and-key mechanism has been around for centuries, so it's no surprise that their basic design hasn't changed much in recent years. At the same time, a number of different types of locks are now available to meet specific needs.
Perhaps the most common type of lock is the pin tumbler lock. Enclosed in a doorknob, these devices contain spring-loaded pins of varying sizes, which must be pushed upward before the knob can be turned to open the door. When the correct key is inserted into a pin tumbler lock, the grooves on the key's blade push the pins up to the precise height needed to allow the inner chamber to turn. Pin tumbler locks are popular because they are relatively secure for most residential applications and generally inexpensive. Since the entire locking mechanism in this device is contained in a single cylinder, pin tumbler locks are also very easy to swap in and out. This comes in handy in apartment buildings, for example, where locks may need to be changed frequently as tenants come and go.
Pin tumbler locks come in a number of configurations. In residential environments, they are the primary mechanism for operating knob locks and deadbolts. Most exterior doors on homes and apartment buildings will have at least one of each of these locks. Knob locks are quick to open and can be convenient when minimal security is acceptable, but they are very easily forced open. When paired with a deadbolt, the door becomes much harder to open. Deadbolts work by driving a thick metal rod into the door frame, which prevents most quick methods of defeating locks, like using a shim or brute force. Still, deadbolts aren't impenetrable, as they can be lockpicked or defeated with much stronger ramming force.
Other common types of residential locks include mortise locks, which combine the action of a doorknob and deadbolt in one. Mortise locks engage a deadbolt with the turn of the key, just as normal. But upon unlocking, the doorknob will open in tandem with the deadbolt. These locks tend to be much stronger than traditional deadbolt designs, but are often harder to install and thus more expensive.
Finally, there's the "jimmy-proof" deadbolt, a type of lock often found in older residences. These locks engage a metal rod that fits into a separate chamber outside of the door frame, rather than through the frame. While its design is simple, it has many advantages over traditional deadbolts or mortise locks. It is impervious to being pried open like many deadbolt systems could be, hence the "jimmy-proof" name. It is also typically harder to pick, and is very inexpensive.
When a lock stops working, no matter where it is in your home or office, it's likely to be a source of frustration. However, it's rare for a lock to suddenly fail to open without exhibiting some signs beforehand.
Common lock problems include issues opening or engaging the lock, or difficulty securing a door in the proper position to lock it.
Since locks are essential security devices that might be used multiple times per day, they are bound to wear out eventually. Rekeying or replacing locks can be done on your own in some cases, but may require a professional locksmith.
When a lock is rekeyed, the cylinder containing the tumbler and pins is removed from its enclosure and replaced with a new cylinder. This is often done when a new tenant moves into an apartment that was previously occupied, but it may also be necessary if a lock needs to be replaced.
Replacing all components of a cylinder lock, or working with locks that don't use a pin tumbler system, requires a different procedure for replacement. Installing a new lock of the same type will be the most straightforward option.
