This is my first time writing a bad review for a business, but I don't feel like Dr. Hicks has the best interest for his patients and only looks out for himself and I do not recommend him at all. I have been a patient here for several years and when I decided to get Lasik, the staff and Dr. Hicks acted very unprofessionally. They never faxed my records to my ophthalmologist in order to get lasik and kept advising me not to get the surgery even though the ophthalmologist told me I am a likely candidate for it. They also suggested that I go to Njoy for lasik, which I'm sure they get some compensation for referring patients over to (even though they advised me earlier NOT to get lasik). I finally had to go over to their office and get the faxes personally and I noticed that they had advertisement brochures for Njoy which explains why Dr. Hicks kept recommending them and would not fax my records over to Dean McGee. I also had some problems in the past with this office for denying me a certain contact lens brand and kept pushing me to use another brand. (By the way, it has been a month after my surgery, and I can see perfectly fine with no problems and I"m HAPPY to to say that I don't have to go back to Dr. Hicks at FYeye anymore)!

Disappointed with the Okc store. Had my eye exam there. It was good, service was great. Then when I brought my frame for them to put the prescription lenses in (transition black, and all the other fancy stuff I could) I was charged 183$. Fine. When I came to get them there was a glare and they said I hadn't asked for anti-glare coat when hey offered it to me... Funny, cause no one offered it to me or I would've said yes. It cost additional 60-70 dollars and had to wait one week because they sent them to California. It was painful but i said yes, too late to have them done online like I had originally thought. I called yesterday (4 days after the day when they were supposed to be back), cause no one had called me and they said they were ready and someone had attempted to contact me the day before.... No one called me the day before. Finally I go today and after 20 minutes of waiting they let me know that they aren't ready... The lab person had set them aside because he/she thought they were ready. "That's what happens when you employ 18 year-olds," she said. The lady said she called the other store and they have what it takes to get me my lenses with all the stuff I want and they will be as good as the other place in California where they were supposed to send it but didn't... The lenses will be ready tomorrow. I'm supremely disappointed why didn't they just do that in the first place?! Are u getting any more money by making me wait?! supremely dissappointed.
I loved Dr Johnny Jones he and his staff were wonderful. But the Portland Optical staff did not do a good job of fitting or helping. I am not buying glasses here again.
Amazing optometrist & the staff is great as well!
I have been back 7 times to try to get the my glasses fixed. They return my money. Every time I go back there is someone trying to get their glasses fixed. This has been a nightmare!
Don't waste your time or money.Got an exam & glasses there - knew right away something wasn't right & employee wouldn't listen.I went to a new place & found out the prescription was wrong. When I asked for a refund all they wanted to do was "give me another exam for free"They finally agreed to give me a refund on the glasses only - minus a 20% restocking fee.
I received my glasses in about 1 1/2 hours (trifocals) after selecting frames and lenses. The staff were the epitome of professional, courteous, and went out of their way to make sure my experience was dare I say perfect. I would not even consider going any place else than I-240 & Walker store . Thank You!
Sure their exam is $45 but it's also $45 at Eyemart's DR. jones. I have always been disappointed with their quality and horrible service. My mom just had to pay to replace her broken lenses because she didn't she'll out for the warranty; I got mine replaced FOR FREE at Eyemart because of their free 1 year frame warranty. Mom just got hers 4 months ago!!! Stay away. They are greedy, rude little money-grubbers!!!
I have been wearing glasses for 54 years and Sam's Optical made the absolute best pair of lens I have ever owned. The entire staff is professional and customer focused. They will not let you leave the store until you are totally satisfied. I highly recommend them.
I've been buying glasses for 45 years and my experience today at Sam's Optical was the ultimate experience since I've been buying glasses (I-240 and Walker). Everyone that works there is involved in making sure you find a frame that works for you and then make sure the fit is perfect. I won't go anywhere else now for frames. Comfortable, relaxing, fun, friendly (great music too). Can't get much better than that!! Highly recommend!!MB
