Our experience with Mathis Brothers has been a nightmare. We ordered a bed frame and were told it would arrive in about six weeks. We also bought a mattress and box springs, and we told them to wait to deliver those until the bed frame arrived so that we'd have the whole bed. Six weeks later, they called us and said our bed was ready for delivery. The delivery people just delivered the mattress and box springs, with no bed frame. They talked a lot about how this was not their fault and had the corporate office call us. The corporate people said the bed frame would not be ready for two more months.
We never would have wasted our money on this bed if we knew it would not arrive for so long, and we are very angry that we now have half a bed sitting around our house for two months. At every point, customer service has been rude, unhelpful, and either dishonest or completely inaccurate with their information.
They also keep calling the wrong number and trying to deliver to the wrong address, even though we've given them the correct number and address four or five times. Everyone at Mathis Brothers says the problems are someone else's responsibility. Do not give your money to this irresponsible, dishonest company.
I bought a twin over full bunk bed from Mathis Brothers. I brought it home and started assembly. Then I noticed that both sets of bed slats (the part that holds the mattress in place) were for twin size mattresses. I went to customer service. They tried to give me another twin set of slats. I needed a full. They told me they'd have to call the manufacturer and they would call me back in a few days. A week later, no phone call. I called back and was told to buy my own slats from Lowe's. I told them that they were supposed to come with the bed so I basically already purchased it from them. Why on earth would I buy something I'm already supposed to have?
This company is a joke. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have ever had in my life. I will never go back. They just don't care.
Y'all I didn't even buy anything (yet) but I definitely will refer anyone and everyone to this store and when you go, you HAVE to ask for Mr. Mark Sanford. I didn't feel pressured to buy, not once did I feel like I was pray. Lol. His professionalism and knowledge of all types of furniture is above reproach. He has been doing this a long time and you can tell. No kidding I felt like he was my uncle or something and wouldn't steer me wrong. We bought a mattress on 9/3/2016 were told we would get a $200. reward card from the mattress company and $200 from Mathis Brothers. I contacted the mattress company and was denied for the reward because I didn't buy the proper base even though we were told at the store that it didn't matter. So I have called them a few times and was told last Thursday that I would get a call the following day. 4 days ago and nothing. I told them to come get the bed I don't like to be told things that are not true.
From being accousted when we first walked in, then to a horrible shipping experience, wanted to give Mathis another shot and solely purchase a bed frame. ined for delivery and all worked out well once I had the clerk correct the double delivery fee since it would all be one load from one place to one place.I take off work to accept the delivery and there was no bed frame with the delivery, mattress, but no frame, and the sofa was damaged from delivery. Had delivery call back to warehouse to find out bed rails can't be found and will need to postpone the whole frame for shipment. So I make another date to take off work and the delivery arrives 2 hrs before the time Mathis gave me and since I could not be home at that time the delivery moved on to not deliver. I call and the best the clerk could do for me was to schedule another date 3 days later. Not too thrilled I call back for a manager and the clerk stated none was available and my only option was to take delivery or pick it up.
I don't recommend shopping here. They do have an amazing selection though. After purchasing a chair & ottoman from a salesman named Robert Lee. He directed us to go pick up the merchandise from their distribution center. He didn't mention that the distribution center had closed 23 minutes prior to the sale. So, we ended up waiting 3 days for it to be delivered. The delivery driver had called @ 10:49 am stating they were an hour away. We contacted them at 12:14 pm asking where they were. He said 10-15 more minutes. They finally arrived 1:03 pm. They will never receive our business again.
I'll start by saying keep shopping and this comes from a long time customer! You really don't want to hear my long stupid story so long story short they sell crap and don't stand behind it and they hire a delivery company that sucks and it will damage your house and not take care of it!!
Suggestion is go to Hoffman furniture on Western :)
Horrible!!!!! Do not buy from this store I bought 3,000$ worth of furniture and I waited 7 days to receive my furniture then on that day they sent not even half my furniture which it was promised that all the furniture would be delivered but that was a lie then I tried to contact them and I was giving the run around all day and I still haven't recivied my furniture but they sure took my money 7 days before they was supposed to deliver DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE save urself the headache
Let me start by saying I have pretty much bought everything in my house from Mathis Brothers....no more! My sister & I went shopping there 3/7/14. As soon as we walked in we were approached by a salesman named Chauncey. We told him we were just looking. He said that's fine I will just follow you in case you have any questions. We said we are not buying today & if you want to give us your card we will get in touch with you. He told us he couldn't give us his card until we got ready to leave. Ok, whatever. He continued following us asking all kinds of questions. We worked our way close to the restroom where we tried to get away. We were in there discussing how annoying it was being followed when another woman overheard us. She said she worked at the Mathis Brothers in Tulsa & she gave us a visitor sticker to put on. She said they should leave us alone now. Not true! When we exited the restroom, Chauncey was standing waiting on us. We tried to exit another way, but quickly realized it just went to the warehouse. We turned back & had to face him to get out. We had to be rude & said look "we just want to be left alone." We made it about 2 feet & got bombarded again! It was ridiculous! We had another salesperson come up while one was already there. I thought there was going to be a fight. One told the other "I've already got these". It was a terrible experience. I felt like we couldn't even look because we were always ducking and weaving! I don't know what Mathis Brothers pay their salesmen, but they either need to pay them more or higher less salesman because you feel like your being dropped into a pool of piranhas!! I will be going to a different store from now on!
First of all let me start by saying my husband and I were having a great day up until the point your guys loaded our furniture into our truck!!We Arrived and were promptly greeted and asked if we needed any help or if we wanted to shop alone we said we wanted to look around by ourselves at that moment.The lady gave us a card and we looked around.We found somethings we liked so we made our selections.We heared our name got our pick up slip and went to the loading dock.We backed up and the guys started to load the truck.All of a sudden my husband saw that they notice there was metal sticking out from the bottom of our recliner and instead of them trying to think of a way to flip it or position it differently they just tried to lift it and put it in metal down and it happened so fast there was no way to even say STOP!!!!They had dented our brand new truck!!!!The look on my husbands face I will never forget!!All the guys could say is uh,uh,uh will get our manager.(By the way if you are going to hire small short kids to load your trucks have them load lamps or rugs not heavy furniture that they can't lift)!! So we wait for the manager to come 20 min and he gets there and another GENIUS young guy who has no clue what to even say so he gives us a number to call cause on the weekends the big boys are off.So we drive away and had what was supposed to be a great night of enjoying our new furniture all we could talk about was our truck!! We spend our hard earned money in your establishment and that is what we get in return.Very disappointed!!So we had to wait Til Monday to call to discuss the matter.When I call a young lady answered I asked for the risk manager and of course he was not available which angered me!!So the young woman told us to get an estimate and fax it to her.We found a great place to fix the large dent your employees made.We Got the work done and sent the cost to the young lady.I called that day but no one answered so I called the next morning to speak with her and she was at lunch but guess who answered the risk manager so I tell him what had been going on and asked if the estimate had been received and he told me oh I have so many of those around here so she can call you back which again angered me cause we were supposed to be dealing with him in the first place!!So I give him our number and waited finally when she called I missed it.So the next day I call again the risk manager answered again and I asked to speak with her and he said there was no need she got the fax and had mailed the check.I would strongly suggest who ever hires these employees to train them well they have no clue about how to talk with customers!!And also for all that frustration and anger from your employees denting our truck you didn't even offer us a gift card or discount on a future sale!!That would have been something but I guess to your company we don't really matter,but it does matter to us cause there are plenty of other places to shop for furniture we just chose this place because we thought we could trust the staff to be competent but you can't train every dog to do tricks!! So that this doesn't happen in the future to someone else you should have the loaders think about how they will load instead of trying to just shove it in and go on to the next !!We as customers should be treated with respect and shown that we are important to the business and not just another sale!! I honestly don't know if we will shop in your store again at this point!!I just know that if I was in charge of handling stuff like this I would do a much better job than the guy in charge he has absolutely no clue how to handle situations like this I wouldn't want any of the people involved employees of mine!! It looks like this happens a lot I wonder if people know how much this goes on cause if we knew we would have never even considered shopping here!!But then again whoever reads this probably doesn't care!!
Bought and paid for about $10,000 to furnish a home. After they damaged a piece of furniture they scheduled a time to redeliver. After After receiving a rude phone call from the driver wanting me to walk off from work and meet him 2 hrs before their set appointment time. When I informed him I scheduled my day around HIS appointment time he was very rude. And I received a call from someone named Ron complaining his driver was waiting for 20 min with no one here still before their scheduled appointment appointment time. Again rude. I will spend my money with a professional company. They are your best friend until they get your money. Buyer and and tornado victims be aware before you buy
Me and my wife bought a lamp, dresser and loveseat recliner . We paid to have it delivered . Told all the sales people we needed it after 5 they told us to let the delivery guys know . Well that was a week ago have talked to a guy by the name of branden he said he would have it sent out today . Well guess what it was not !!! My wife called and the lady she talked to said there was nothing written on the account about any of this so I have one last thing to say go to BOB MILLS
There was a small issue with a furniture piece and one of your sales manager, Mr. Steve Soltysiak handled the situation on a very professional manner. I was a little disappointing with the situation and had a sour taste but thanks to Mr. Soltysiak and the way he handled the situation I am still a very loyal buyer to Mathis Brothers. I know I may not be a gigantic buyer but we have purchased lots of furniture from you. Thank You!
There are so many things that I love about Mathis Brothers, like the amazing furniture selections, trusted long standing company, but the main reason is, I can come there and just look around!! As I come in a sales person greets me, ask a few questions, then it is Really Okay with them it I say "Im just looking" LOVE LOVE LOVE THAT!!! No pressure, I can just walk around and look, (YES!!), but if I need anything they are there ready to help in anyway!! No place is better or even comes close!! Keep up the fantastic, amazing, great work!!
