Our first and last visit. No one met us at the door. After a few minutes my husband went to the bar to ask for someone. A gentleman walked by and told us just a moment. Although the staff was friendly I was disappointed when my steak was delivered and the waitress walked away without asking me to cut it to check it was cooked correctly. We both ordered medium. Mine was almost burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. My husband's steak was closer so he offered to switch and we did. I did inform the waitress it came too rare and she told me they would have corrected it. However I would have had to wait for her return to do so. The flavor of the 2nd steak was very good. We paid and left quickly as it was too hot inside. Overall we did not feel the sides, steak and experience was worth the high cost.

Went to this place after reading other reviews thinking it was going to be good...boy was I wrong. I ordered a steak and it came out pretty quick but as far as taste is concerned, it had a funky taste to it and I could tell that the meat was old because it tasted like it was soaked in water for 2 days then dipped in salt. The menu was also very limited. I Ordered a coffee and desert after, hoping it would salvage the meal but it failed to do so. The coffee tasted burned and the desert tasted like it was sitting in the freezer for about a week. As far as the environment, the restaurant is confused. On the one hand it has a trendyish NY villiage type look mixed with a look you would find in a midtown manhatten Irish bar. The doors in the place look like ones you would see on a cruise ship giving you the impression that once you exit them you will be staring at the open sea. Pricewise the menu is overpriced compared to other steak houses. The staff are friendly and helpful. Overall I give it 3 out of 10.
Jamil's in Oklahoma City showcases a picture of a person who has painted his face black. This cartoonish personification of African Americans is insensitive and disgusting. This behavior embodies racism at its core and should be combatted. A picture speaks a thousand words and this picture speaks volumes about this eatery. Please do not eat at Jamil's.
