I had an appointment September, 2016. Upon arrival, a dark-haired woman at the front desk was very rude to my guests and I. After my interaction with the first woman, the appointment went well, and I found my dress with the help of a short blonde haired woman. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. After ordering my dress I deployed, and informed the store that I wouldn't be able to pick my dress up until August, 2017. Come August, 2017 I walked into the store to pick up my dress and was instructed to try it on with the help of an older woman. At first she seemed nice, but once I started to try the dress on, she became very unprofessional. The dress was a little tight around my ribs, and this woman asked me if I work out. I said yes, I lift weights, and she told me I shouldn't be doing that! After this comment she made another comment saying that I should have come in to try the dress on when it first came in. I should not have to defend my working out, and being deployed to this woman! She was not only unprofessional, but she also shamed me for being in the military and for my body. Unprofessional and overall disappointing.

NIGHTMARE!!!!Dresses were ordered said it would take 8 weeks took 11. Said my bridesmaids had to order up sizes because they had interesting measurements. Went in yesterday the dresses DID NOT FIT like they said. Told me they might not have enough time to get alterations done in time. Insulted my bridesmaids and told me that we measured wrong only after she told them they must have lost weight because she took the measurements herself.(She did not.)
I took my dresses elsewhere for alterations. They said that one dress was 10 sizes too big and another 6 sizes. Now I'm paying an extra $145 each on so far 3 out of my 6 dresses.

After reading so of the reviews on here I'm thinking a few things.
1. Someone from their store got on here to write nice reviews.
2. They are only nice to people that have a fifty thousand dollar budget.
3. They are narcissists.

Worst experience and unprofessional.
I spoke with a lady and also Patric on the phone who seemed very nice and professional however, I had an apt for 10 am which was confirmed via text. I show up at 9:55 and the doors were locked. After nocking on the door for a couple min a lady opened the door. I said I had a 10 o clock were they open ? She said not yet but I could go ahead and come in. (At 9:55, really?!) I then waited an additional 15 min to be seen in which others who arrived after me were seen before me. The lady who helped me was nice but the selection was terrible. Several dresses but only 2 I liked. One of which looked very similar to dresses I've tried on else where but was twice the price. I left pretty much immediately. Everywhere else I went they knew my name when I walked in the door and had dresses set aside for me to look through based on what I told them I liked over the phone. Even with some that I showed up 30 min early they worked me in within a few min. They looked excited to see me and be apart of this special time. They wanted to help me find the perfect one and I had a lot of fun with all of them so by the time I got to JJ Kelly I was very displeased with they're service. This is a very special day that requires a very special dress in which most lady's will be spending a significant amount of money on. If I'm not treated like I'm important then I'm gone . There's no excuse . Dillard's has better service and this is supposed to be a high end bridal store.

Editorial review from Citysearch

I must say I'm extremely surprised by all of the negative reviews because I has a wonderful experience here! The staff was all very sweet and helpful. We discussed budget before I tried dresses on and the staff only pulled dresses within my budget (I'm on a tight budget). In fact, she pulled dresses that were under my budget so I could afford to have alterations and a headpiece. I have been on several bridal dress appointments with other brides to be and I can safely say this was by far the best service I have seen.

Worst Experience

I went for an appointment yesterday, and as soon as she heard my budget, the appointment was over. She argued with me. I told her lace and A-line, she pulled mermaid and not a single thing with lace on it. After we got back to the dressing room, I saw a dress and asked her if it was out of my budget, and it was, by almost $3,000. She told me I needed to cut back on somethings in my wedding to get that dress. I told her it was not worth having a good dress if I don't have any pictures of it, and she said what's the point of having good pictures of a dress thats second best?

I left immediately. I went and bought a dress that there is no comparison for, and it was under my budget by $1000.

Not worth it

I went here because I wanted a simple Nicole Miller Dress. During the appointment the lady just went through the steps and showed little interest in my appointment.

I am guessing because I did not care to spend a lot of money on a dress and gave her a small budget.

She rushed me through the appointment I tried on three dresses that were pretty much the same. I wanted to try on more but she said she had nothing else in the style and budget I had given her then she told me she had another appointment and I needed to make up my mind if I wanted the dress or not.

I bought one dress because it did look really good on me and was the dress I originally wanted when I went into the shop. I have grown to dislike it because it was such an unpleasant experience.

This place is a JOKE. I live i...

This place is a JOKE. I live in Alaska and my dress had to be ordered from OKC, and so I sent my sister to JJ Kelly. I had heard from friends who got married in OKC, that JJ Kelly had horrible service and once they had your money, you'd have to nag them nonstop to find out when your dress was in. Well, JJ Kelly is the only place in OKC that my dress could be ordered at,... so we placed the order anyway. I figured it'd be cheaper and faster to have it shipped there and then shipped to me instead of me having to fly to Seattle and have the dress ordered from there. Well... that was a mistake. First, my dress was ordered in JANUARY and we paid extra to have it "rushed" so it would be there NO LATER than June 1. After June 1, I called to see what the problem was, and of course I was given the run around. Finally, my sister called 2 weeks later, and threw a fit. They admitted that the dress had never been shipped. So, it took a "bridezilla" moment for JJ Kelly to agree to have it overnighted to them at no extra cost. Now, I will have precisely 2 weeks to have my dress altered IF it gets here on time. Keep your sanity, and go elsewhere.

I have never ever heard anything good about this place, I'm 99.9% sure that ALL of the good reviews are from the employees or owners. I find it a bit odd that right after a bad review there is a 5 star, MAGNIFICENT reivew of this place. Don't go there.... just don't.

I should have looked at reviews before I made a HUGE mistake

I ordered my bridesmaid dress through JJ Kelly. My sister is getting married in just a few weeks, and my dress was ordered 5 months ago. I have called them a few times to check on the status of the dress, and to get a definitive arrival date. I have explained to them SEVERAL times that I live in Alaska, and so I need the dress as fast as possible, because it has to be shipped to me for alterations before the wedding. Every time I spoke with someone, I was promised that my dress would be delivered on June 1. I was a little surprised that I did not recieve a call from them on the 1st telling me that my dress was in, so I could have my sister pick it up, and put it in the mail for me. I gave them a call the next day to see what was going on. I was told that my dress would be in ""within a few days."" While it was a bit inconvenient, I didn't worry too much and figured it would be in soon. It is now nearly 2 weeks later and I have been told that it could take ANOTHER 2 weeks before my dress will arrive there. This is BEYOND unacceptable. I paid extra money so the dress would be in by June 1, and now I have to sit here and wait while they take their sweet time. After reading reviews on here, I should have just bought a plane ticket to Seattle and bought my dress there. It would have been significantly more expensive, but at least I'd have my dress.
*Update- the dress finally came in today ( 5 days after it was ""overnighted"") The lady at the desk was BEYOND rude to my sister, and refused to take ANYTHING off of the price of the dress. This place is RUDE, unprofessional and only care about the bottom line: their pockets.

Stop and Read!!!

Absolutely appalled at the behavior of the bridal consultants at this boutique! Upon my arrival at this location I was told that they would be leaving at 6 promptly, even if I was not finished deciding on my purchase. While I was in the dressing room I was told that "if this dress doesn't fit you will have to lay off the sweets", I was in shock and of course could not think of what I should say. Not that it should matter if I was a bigger person or not, but I was trying on and fitting into size 8 dresses! In returning to the dressing room after showing the dress to my family, the consultant told me she wanted to go home. After this shock my family and I were rushed out of the boutique because it was 6 and time to leave. Don't waste your time going to this bridal boutique. Gladly I did purchase my gown, a Kenneth Pool, from Meg Guess and would recommend them to everyone!!

I had a VERY positive experience here!!!

I was actually there today. I was greeted by a very unfriendly older woman with dark hair and bangs.

She said Jessica would be helping me today. Jessica was great! She was young and stylish. She was eager to help me stay within my price range. She never pushed me onto more expensive dresses. She got excited with me and my bridesmaids when I tried on each dress. Not one moment was she rude or snobby. I went in with the intention to try on Nicole Miller dresses and then buy one online. The price of the NM dress I found was reasonable. I bought it right then and there. I was not pressured to have it altered there and I took it home with me.

I had a blast and so did my bridesmaids! I would recommend JJ Kelly to anyone, but I would suggest you ask for Jessica. The other ladies seemed very rude and grumpy.

A nice man, I think his name was Patrick, helped Jessica check me out and he carried my dress to the car through the sleet and snow in his suit and dress shoes! I was wearing snow boots. Now THAT'S service! He was extremely personable as well.

The store is outdated, but the merchandise is not. I suggest that you go check it out if you want to find the dress of your dreams. Happy shopping!
