Comet Cleaners

So I've been going to Comet for several years and never had any problems. About a month ago there was a little mix up with a pair of pants.

I understand that mistakes happen. I was willing to work with the cleaners and be patient as long as they kept me informed of what was going on. I was in constant contact with a very nice lady named Linda from their head office and they never made me feel like they were playing games with me. The ended up replacing the item lost no questions asked. And this was a very expensive custom made price of clothing. They contacted my tailor and told him go ahead and replace it we will take care of it.

Needless to say they have me and my family as costumers as long as they're around. And I will tell everyone how well they treated me.

Incompetent...That's the only word I can describe the manager at this cleaners (well maybe rude too). Eight weeks ago, they lost two BRAND NEW Jos. A Banks suit pants. After I reported it, they took over a week to "search everywhere," but found nothing. I had to insist on filing a claim (which I did). Two weeks go by and nothing. So I call the corporate franchise office (Comet Cleaners- 817-461-3555) and talked to Sandy. They claim to have never received the paperwork. She assures me the franchise owner will call me. Time passes with no call. I call back. Still nothing. Guess I'll have to report them to the BBB.



Fair warning...I'm done taking my clothes there. You do so at your own peril...



P.S. Today I go back to pickup and find they gave me an extra shirt from someone. I take it back and they say thanks and then just look at me. I say "You gonna refund me the money I gave you for someone else's shirt?" They go "Oh, I guess..." So to whoever wears an XL red checked Ralph Lauren long sleeve shirt...You're welcome :)



P.P.S. In fairness, the young college kids that work there are wonderful. Too bad they have to get their business education from an organization that doesn't care about its customers.

I've never in my life felt less disappointed by a dry cleaners than I do right now with comet cleaners. I have used them in the past, and the job done with my clothing has been mediocre, and the service has been absolutely terrible. They have a giant sign on their front window that's says if your clothes are in by 1:00, they'll be back by 5:00. Both of these things are more often then not false. And if you inquire about it, you'll be met with a rude clerk to match. Finally, the last shirt I had sent in was starched horribly, had the buttons pressed into the most random places on the shirt, and the creases were off centered. Id ask to have the problem resolved, but I'd rather not be talked to like a child today

The service at this place is excellent and they have 30% off on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The drive thru is convenient also. My only critique is if you have stained clothing this place will not work hard to get it out. Other than that...reliable service.
