Do not use this company they do not stand behind their service, I would recommend you look for another company for septic service work.
We're sorry you feel this way Dale. We service several hundred septic systems and we take customer satisfaction very seriously. I do not believe we service your septic system but did a one time repair. Septic systems are like a mini water treatment plant in you backyard and they contain many parts that are continuously working and will malfunction and or stop working. Fixing this problem can ultimately bring attention to other problems that are also occurring within the system. We did fix your initial issue but you did not want us to come out to fix subsequent issues at a later date. I believe you were offered a discounted rate for the second service call and refused because you did not want to pay us to come back out again to identify and resolve the new issue. Contracting with us to service your system would assist in minimizing service call costs for you.
My parents bought a storm shelter from Biggs Backhoe in the 80's and we bought one from them in 2000. We recently built a house and had them install our septic system and put in a shelter. They remembered us and my parents! Everyone we have dealt with have been very friendly and helpful. My builder liked them too, he visited with the owners while they were at my house and had them put in a shelter and septic for another house he was building. They have a good reputation for a reason and we would recommend them. Five Stars from us!!
We were initially put off by the customer service we received, because we scheduled the installation 2 months in advance and Biggs called to cancel our installation less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment. The gentleman we spoke to was less than helpful and even suggested we should hire another company, rather than offering sufficient explanation of Why Biggs canceled, Or any reassurance they would complete the job as promised. However, we called back the following day and spoke with Elizabeth, who reassured us the company had the best intentions in mind for their customers and employees, and would do their best to satisfy us as customers going forward. Elizabeth explained it was because of their loyalty to providing good service that they would not install our shelter until the ground could sustain the weight of their equipment. Otherwise, it could potentially destroy our yard, and compromise their equipment. Due to the unexpected amount of rain this year, they were unable to complete our installation at that time, or until the ground had sufficient time to dry. We had to reschedule several times, but they were very good about letting us know sooner, so we could make arrangements. We ended up receiving the shelter almost 2 months after our original scheduled date, but the staff was very pleasant to deal with and even went above and beyond by contacting the builder of the neighborhood adjacent to ours to receive permission to access our yard through theirs. The installation itself was a seamless, efficient, and Fast process. The installation technician was timely, professional and thorough. He consulted with us on all decisions, including where to pile the grass and dirt being removed, and he walked us through each step as he navigated through the install. We appreciated the services, professional manner, and courtesy of Mandy, Elizabeth, and Doug, and would definitely recommend Biggs to others.
I wish I could add pictures of how badly they ruined my yard. It was a terrible experience and we ended up with no shelter but a destroyed front and backyard. When I called the owner came by to see the damage and stated that never happens and they would come by to fix it in the spring. We have been left with a torn up yard since early February. We went elsewhere for a storm shelter and they were able to get the job done and clean up their mess.
really bad customer service so far. I accepted my date that had been scheduled for months pushed back at the last minute and them even being late. the part that is not acceptable if somehow the truck the was due to drop off shelter after my fence had come down and big hole dug was some how accidently sent back to warehouse.. they refused to finish job on same day even after advising my yard would be unsecure with dogs, kids and values in my back yard, husband having to take off a 2nd day and having a fencing company that had been scheduled to replace fence with plenty of time for them to finish their "4 hour job" the owner Earl refused to have the shelter broughtt back out and would not compensate at all for this even though it supposedly has never happened in his 33 years. I really hope that they come back and finish job correctly as promised. Thanks for the review already listed I will expect the contract to be in my hands before installers leave. So far I am leaving this review based on the lack of customer service
I reccomend everyone who needs a shelter call Biggs. When I lived in Piedmont I researched the cost and Biggs was the best price, I contracted them to put in my shelter, they did so with such precision it was like watching an artist. Then I contracted them to put in a drive for my barn. They show up when they say, the work is done so professionally and the people are just so easy to talk to and professional. After May 24th 2011, we were hit by an F5 tornado and were in our shelter when it hit. This shelter saved 8 people and 8 dogs. With the debris that was flying around the air vents and door were damaged. Biggs came out and fixed it. Immediately after the tornado hit, the crews from Biggs backhoe came on their own time with thier equipment and heped uncover those shelters that were covered with debris. I can not tell you how comforting it was to see thier faces. They knew right where each shelter was even though the landscape looked like a war zone. Additionally I had them put my next shelter in , in Norman, at my new place was also installed by Biggs, I wouldnt have it any other way.
I hired Biggs for a storm shelter last of March. They gave me a install date which was OK, but I was just teasing with them and said storm season is upon us. They moved the date 2 weeks closer, even tho I was just playing around. Install date arrived and his men were right on time. I might add I live in Altus OK approx 150 miles away from Piedmont. They got started and within 2 1/2 hours was complete. Can't say enough about Biggs, they are great and true to their word. Even tho they are 150 miles from here, they beat all local prices
No need to look anywhere else for a storm shelter. They have the best prices, selection, and warranty. Their staff is friendly and helpfull. They answer late calls even on the weekend. If you require a permit then no problem. They will fax the required info saving you a trip. They were on time, professional, and very friendly with my install. They made sure I was satisfied before leaving. They even went the extra mile to help me out with some dirt work i needed done. Saving me time and money from having to hire someone. If I ever need another shelter then they will be my first call. "USE THEM"!!! You will be glad when you do.
I had Biggs Backhoe install a storm shelter recently. First off, their prices are great; the best I could find at a number of different companies. They also had a great selection. Secondly, they were great to work with. They got me scheduled within 2 weeks for install, and even rescheduled me without an issue when something came up on that date. They are always available, willing to ask any questions and extremely helpful (they even faxed some information about the shelter to OKC Permits for me, and saved a second trip there!). Finally, they have great business hours during the week and even have a weekend-on-call person (they answered at 5:30 on a Saturday afternoon!).
I would highly recommend them to anyone!
