0 stars.where do I start? The most unprofessional staff,Infested with roaches, stabbings, the rent changes every month, and terrible management. Don't make the same mistake I did.
I made YP account for writing about this property.Be away from here, I am living here for 2 weeks, but A/C does not work, but there is no one who fixes this problem, even though, I have been calling them, for a week.
DONT MOVE HEREThey never answer the phones and they can never explain why your rent goes up then down
Summary: Upon move in, my unit was severely infested with cockroaches. I had to break my lease early. I did not get enough compensation for what I experienced. Living here wasn’t worth it in regards to the rent I had to pay for the conditions of the property. This apartment review is for May 2015. Formerly “The Belle Isle Terrace”, now renamed “The Belle Isle”. The property received new management owners (Logic Management around September 2014 or so). I asked 2 current residents if they had issues. They reported no issues worth moving out (noise level, maintenance issues, insects). The new management seemed to make things promising with their attempts to improve the property: renovated units, new floors and appliances, paid water and gas. The manager was cordial and attentive to my needs. On my move in day, I literally saw the hardwood floor covered in a “carpet” of dead roach carcasses. I still saw some crawling around. I was disappointed that I had to spend a lot of time trying to clean it up before I could place my items in. My washer and dryer were not hooked up. I was missing a light bulb on the porch light, and the front door trim panel was not painted yet. I expressed my concerns with the manager on Monday (another con leasing office is closed on weekends). The issue would be taken care of as far as doing weekly pest control to minimize the population. Weeks carried on, the issue did not improve for my satisfaction. I still saw 5-6 roaches in the span of just 1-3 hours. I never unpacked my belongings from my boxes. I never even cooked or used the appliances. I feel traumatized seeing live roaches in the groove of the microwave and dead roaches on top of the new unused stove... I had them caulk and seal some holes, but I still saw a steady influx of roaches: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room - everywhere. I demanded compensation as far as a refund of my initial month’s rent. I then just asked to have my termination of lease fee cancelled. I was only offered half of my first month’s rent. I was extremely livid when the supervisor of the apartment said that “the apartment is liveable” even when there was a presented bag of dead roaches shown to her. She asked if those roaches were dead as if they were a trivial situation because “at least the roaches are dead”. It doesn’t matter if the roaches are dead. There are live and dead ones I had to pick up. The –amount—of roaches present in the unit is the main concern. The whole building is severely infested. The other residents say that pest control spraying does not do anything to get rid of the problem. They are German cockroaches –light band in the middle and two black bands on side of the back. I asked other residents living in the property. Some residents living in other buildings did not have a roach issue. This review is a word of caution to other prospective tenants. In the end, I lost money and was left feeling dissatisfied of my whole experience.
Do not lease at these apartments. Worst experience ever! The apartment was not ready on move-in day. Two days later when it was "ready", it was still a mess. Food on the walls, pet urine, and broken cabinets. Later, we were without plumbing for several days and without air conditioning for three weeks. It is still very hot in September in OK. Horrible management. Repairmen come on in even when you are in the shower. Beware. They seem nice when they are trying to get you to sign a lease
I am EXTREMELY disappointed & Unhappy!!!! i have lived here a year, Paid my rent early & on time. They are raised the rent with no upgrades or added amenities . The on call security is hard to get in touch with ( but don't worry you can leave a voicemail to make you feel very safe) , the neighbor under neath me is very challenging to put it nicely, I have NEVER heard so much "bumping " music at late hours of the night EVERY single night, cops are coming & going so often for drama but the cops are super frustrated to be here to help because they are coming and going for "non -emergency" calls, my utilizes bills are higher then most people with 3x -5x larger houses & I have followed all the rules paid rent early and they can't keep my current already over priced rate. i just feel that for the area and how OLD this place is it is not worth it. If i could do it all over again I would NOT have moved here. I am just disappointed that the place I call home at this point in my life... Dose not feel like home.
Don't rent here! Unsafe neighborhood, no security, gates remain open even though they are supposed to be closed. Buildings old, appliances old, we had a permanent smell of smoke in our apartment and we don't smoke. Repairs take weeks to complete and they try to blame the broken part on you! We also had cockroaches all the time. They came to spray but from my trained eye(pesticide applicator) it looked like water. Biggest complaint - they deducted $50.00 from our security deposit to steam clean the carpets even though we had them steam cleaned. The contract states, "The resident shall steam clean carpets, and if they do not the apartment will do so and charge a reasonable rate." Upon challenging the management about the deduction from our security deposit management told us that we were supposed to have the carpet cleaned by a licensed, professional carpet cleaning company - yet the contract says nothing of the sort. They had a plethora of excuses of why they couldn't return my deposit -first it is a federal law, second it is a state law, and last it is in the Landlord Tenant Act. Of course I asked for the statute, section and title number which Ashley said she had no obligation to tell me. Finally she said it is in the contract and we charge everyone to steam clean the carpet. At 5100 tenants @ 50.00 a pop - well you do the math.'
