I had an appointment September, 2016. Upon arrival, a dark-haired woman at the front desk was very rude to my guests and I. After my interaction with the first woman, the appointment went well, and I found my dress with the help of a short blonde haired woman. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. After ordering my dress I deployed, and informed the store that I wouldn't be able to pick my dress up until August, 2017. Come August, 2017 I walked into the store to pick up my dress and was instructed to try it on with the help of an older woman. At first she seemed nice, but once I started to try the dress on, she became very unprofessional. The dress was a little tight around my ribs, and this woman asked me if I work out. I said yes, I lift weights, and she told me I shouldn't be doing that! After this comment she made another comment saying that I should have come in to try the dress on when it first came in. I should not have to defend my working out, and being deployed to this woman! She was not only unprofessional, but she also shamed me for being in the military and for my body. Unprofessional and overall disappointing.
NIGHTMARE!!!!Dresses were ordered said it would take 8 weeks took 11. Said my bridesmaids had to order up sizes because they had interesting measurements. Went in yesterday the dresses DID NOT FIT like they said. Told me they might not have enough time to get alterations done in time. Insulted my bridesmaids and told me that we measured wrong only after she told them they must have lost weight because she took the measurements herself.(She did not.)I took my dresses elsewhere for alterations. They said that one dress was 10 sizes too big and another 6 sizes. Now I'm paying an extra $145 each on so far 3 out of my 6 dresses. After reading so of the reviews on here I'm thinking a few things. 1. Someone from their store got on here to write nice reviews.2. They are only nice to people that have a fifty thousand dollar budget.3. They are narcissists. LADIES DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! THEY ARE OVERPRICED,RUDE, AND NOT WORTH ALL THE STRESS AND DRAMA!
We found a dress 3 weeks ago that was perfect. The lady helping us was not happy because it was only $99. When we checked out the cashier called alterations to get an estimate of the cost. They advised $40 for the top & $65 for the bottom. Today was the day we went for alterations. They got her a bra, a slip & put on the dress. She loves it even more. The lady pinning the dress thought my daughter was pregent. I told her we just had big tummies. I thought this was very rude! The lady fitted it & then presented me with a bill for $342!!! That did not even include the slip & bra which would be another $150. They tried to explain the price was reasonable. I only paid $110 for the dress why would I pay $342 for alterations. We told them to take up the shoulders and fix the hem, paid $170 & left. This made us decide any future alternations and dresses for the rest of the bridal party will be purchased elsewhere. Please take the time to look elsewhere if you are getting married!!!
David's Bridal taking advantage of brides since 1950. Be sure to be prepared to always pay more than what you are quoted for alterations. Funny how $45 turns into $255. SCAMMERS!
Today was my first time trying on wedding dresses. I made an appointment months ago. I was greeted in a rush as if I was bothering them. My consultant never went through the racks with me. She just asked what I like and for pictures from pinterest. She pulled nothing that resembled my pictures. There store was so crowded I couldn't focus and enjoy the experience. And honestly she cared more about her commission (which she greedily mentioned to me a couple times) than trying to understand me. She tried selling me a dress I couldn't try on. She tried convincing me to have my mom get a David's bridal credit card to pay for the dress. And then after hassling my bridesmaids and my mother to convince me to buy a dress she finally realized it wasn't going to happen and stormed off. No "have a nice day" "come back and try again another day" or nothing. I understand they make commission and I'm sympathetic to that, but I can't make that big of a purchase for her benefit and not mine. And they need to know that that's part of the job. It overwhelmed me and honestly her cold, pressuring approach shut me down. I may have bought something if I had felt that the consultant was actually there to help me. We continued to browse and one of my bridesmaids pulled a dress and we got someone to get us a fitting room and that dress actually came the closest to what I was trying to communicate. And only then, when she noticed a possible sale, did she come over and start acting all sweet. You shouldn't have those kind of people on your payroll. You're smart business owners, right? Sales people like her are bad for business. Very upset that my first experience was this pathetic.
Made an appointment, showed up with my maid of honor, was told too look through dresses while we waited. We looked for about 10 minutes, a young woman finally showed up and rushed us through what we were looking for and didn't care to know much, walked us to the dressing rooms and left. I literly had to clip my MOH in the dresses myself because we had NO HELP. We ended up leaving after 15 minutes of never seeing the woman again. RIDICULOUS. I would give no stars if it would let me!
My daughter went in to Davids bridal this weekend to try on her bridesmaid dress and was told that the dress would not fit her because she was too big. Then the consultant asked the guys whose wedding it was if they could find someone thinner to be in their wedding. Unbelievable.
Amazing service and beautiful dresses. As soon as I walked in the girls immediately knew who I was and looked excited to see me. They had dresses already pulled for me to look through based on what I told them I liked over the phone. The lady I worked with was incredibly helpful and sweet. They all were actually . I had a lot of fun there. Although I wound up buying my dress elsewhere I would recommend impressions to anyone .
Worst experience and unprofessional.I spoke with a lady and also Patric on the phone who seemed very nice and professional however, I had an apt for 10 am which was confirmed via text. I show up at 9:55 and the doors were locked. After nocking on the door for a couple min a lady opened the door. I said I had a 10 o clock were they open ? She said not yet but I could go ahead and come in. (At 9:55, really?!) I then waited an additional 15 min to be seen in which others who arrived after me were seen before me. The lady who helped me was nice but the selection was terrible. Several dresses but only 2 I liked. One of which looked very similar to dresses I've tried on else where but was twice the price. I left pretty much immediately. Everywhere else I went they knew my name when I walked in the door and had dresses set aside for me to look through based on what I told them I liked over the phone. Even with some that I showed up 30 min early they worked me in within a few min. They looked excited to see me and be apart of this special time. They wanted to help me find the perfect one and I had a lot of fun with all of them so by the time I got to JJ Kelly I was very displeased with they're service. This is a very special day that requires a very special dress in which most lady's will be spending a significant amount of money on. If I'm not treated like I'm important then I'm gone . There's no excuse . Dillard's has better service and this is supposed to be a high end bridal store.
Wonderful experience! Ashley helped us and she did an amazing job helping my daughter find her perfect dress. Ashley took time to give advice for our upcoming outdoor wedding. She was professional and very caring. Excellent job!
