These are literally the worst school pictures we've ever gotten in all the years of school pictures. Horrible. Looks worse then a drivers license photo. They cut off the photo right at my sons chest, and on the sides of the arms, faced him flat toward the camera with the worse flat light possible. Didn't even ask my son to be ready or smile.
I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed in this company. A photography company should take pride in their work and should want the photos to turn out well, especially when they are dealing with Middle School and High School kids. My son's first picture taken by Bell Photographers at his school was really bad and so we sent him for retakes. They refused to take his picture again. It wouldn't cost them anything (because everything is digital now) to retake his picture for the Yearbook. They did not care if his original picture was good or not. They obviously don't care if kids are made fun of or embarrassed when the yearbook comes out. Their price packages are extremely costly and the options are very limited, in order to get more money from people for pictures they don't even want. They don't do good work, they charge too much and they do not care about how the photo subject looks or feels about their photo. This company isn't in it for portraying people the best they can. They are only in it for the money. Shame on them. When hired by a school to take pictures of the student body that will be portrayed in the Yearbook for all to see, they have a duty to do good work and help these kids have as good an outcome as is possible.
I had to wait several weeks before the photographs were ready, and when they finally were, I never received notice until I received a rude email telling me "I did my part now you do yours!" and giving 2 options for days to pick up -with very limited hours. When I arrived to pick them up, I was told that I was being billed extra because I was late picking them up. I disputed the fee being added because I never received notice. I was then told it was because she added 3 extra photos to my package. I explained that she didn't have my permission and I didn't want the extra photos. The truth be told - I didn't want any of the photos because all the heads appeared to be morphed on to the bodies. I'm surprised she actually got them on the right person. I would definitely not recommend her as a photographer and/or a business person.
Poor customer service. Scheduled a sitting for today and photographer failed to show up. We live an hour away, so it was a big disappointment and inconvenience. When I contacted her about it, she didn't apologize for her mistake of writing down the wrong day. She tried telling me it was yesterday. I went ahead and triple checked our conversation via Facebook messaging, and it was clearly supposed to be today. Then, she was not very accommodating to make it up to us. I would definitely not recommend.
Best Photographer.....I have been going to SMILES for 25 years....lived in several different States though out the US and I end up coming back here after paying a fortune for poorer quality pictures of my family.....she is so reasonable and so good...I have used other photographer in the area and couldn't afford to buy only the basics LOVE LOVE LOVE SMILES.....and I don't even know the photographer name LOL
