If I could give them ZERO stars I would. My husband and I just looked at rings and agreed to let them pull our credit. Once we decided not to buy any rings from them we left. They called us non-stop trying to get us to come back in to buy a ring. A week and a half later we got a bill for $700 from their company!! We never even picked a ring when I called them they said it was standard practice for them to automatically approve customers. First of all I work for a jewelery company so I know its not "standard practice" and now we have to wait until they can find the time to remove it from our account. We dont even have a ring to return cause we never agreed to buy from them!!! DO NOT GO THERE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE!!!!!

I bought a ring in 2011 and have a Cassar Warranty. Now I find the company is OUT OF BUSINESS!!! What do I do if I need a repair or cleaning....I am paying for service, yet now the company isn't open. does anyone know anything about this?

After two years, the wedding ring that my wife bought me had began to look beat up from the abuse of my job. We didn't save a receipt nor could we remember the name of the salesman who was working with her during the time of her purchase. We went in there this weekend with nothing but a story of how we purchased this ring two years ago and wanted to know if they could do anything for us in regards to warranting this ring at no cost. After spending an hour with us and my little 10 month monster ransacking their establishment, I left there with not only a better ring than my first, but quite possibly the most amazing wedding band I have ever seen. Despite the little to no proof I provided as to even purchasing the ring there to begin with, they honored our story and went out of their way to make me happy. The ring they replaced my original with was a couple of hundred dollars more in value. The owner and his son in law were genuinely good people. They mentioned that the company was 100% family owned and operated and it was my pleasure to give local support to a family owned establishment. I would refer their business to all of my friends and family. I couldn't help notice all of the complaints when I came here to leave a review and I would just like to mention to those who might be reading these in consideration of Cassar Jewelers, to keep in mind that the vast majority of people who leave reviews, no matter what the service or products is, are those who have had a bad experience. Those who have good experiences just don't seem to find the time to give a praise report. I'm taking time today to do just this. Cassar Jewelers, thank you for your service, the way you interacted with me and my family and for going above and beyond. For that I give you praise. You have earned the continuation of my family's business.

Overall

Roughly 9 years ago I opened an account with Cassar Jewelers. I bought my first wife's wedding set there. The customer service was alright, not the best but also not the worst. Needless to say my first wife and I divorced. In late 2008 early 2009 I received a notification from them stating my account was paid in full and a zero balance was due. I had been paying on the account from 2004 when I opened it until I received that notice. After receiving the notice I decided to check my credit report, Cassars was still showing on there and was showing a balance due, and past due. I called to figure out what was going on and they said they never sent me the notification, but they would look into it. It is now 2013 and it still shows on my credit report only now it is affecting my career. I have called numerous times requesting information on my account, to include the name and address of the debt collector, yes debt collector they sold my account to. Mind you they sold the account off in 2010, if my math is right roughly a year after I contacted them about my apparent balance. Now they won't give me any information so that I can get my eggs in a basket and hopefully save my career. They are rude and quite honestly unprofessional. If there was a problem with the account, usually standard practice is to call or contact the person to let them know before selling to a debt collector. And to top it all off, the name they gave me over the phone for the debt collector, I find out after searching for him myself died two years after being sold the account. And with this information they are trying to tell me that the account goes back to them, after the debt collector has bought the account. Usually the way that works, if I believe correctly is once the debt collector is sold the account nothing is owed to the original creditor, could be wrong you know information on the internet and all. But if anyone reads this, they will screw you around until your account goes so past due that without taking out a car size loan you can't pay it off in full or even settle the account. Don't but from this place, there are much better and more professional stores to get your jewelry from.

My fiance and I went in and purchased two rings, a engagement ring, and husbands ring. We were helped by the owner Ken Cassar. We purchased them on November 21st. We purchased a princess cut ring. Ken suggested that we buy the elongated princess cut in the arctic star. We ordered it and it was supposed to be done the second week in December. After many phone calls it was picked up on December 24th, my fiance had to change his proposal plans because it wasn't done in time. It was picked up on December 24th, and given to me the 25th. After receiving the ring I notice he put a Emerald cut stone in it, NOT the elongated princess cut. I called him on the 26th to talk about the wrong stone. He was extremely rude on the phone, telling me that it was the elongated princess cut, when i knew it wasn't. No harsh words were spoken then, we brought the ring back in on the 27th. I brought in pictures of the stone that was supposed to be placed in it, and a picture of the one that was put in. He said "it is wrong, I will get that changed for you, most people just don't notice, but you know your stones." I can't believe he does business like that. Doesn't tell people if it is wrong. Then said he had to send the ring to Africa to bet the stone put in. That it wouldn't be ready for about a month. That he had to have the stone cut. I went home and did some research because I could tell he was lying many times. He said his guy cuts the stones special for him....when in actuality he gets the stones directly from Kelly Jeweler already cut. I found that out by calling Kelly Jeweler. He called my fiance back and said his guy refused to put the stone in because it is tension set. We spoke again on the phone, he was going to call "his guy" and send the ring in the mail on Saturday to see if he could put a radiant cut in, if he couldn't he would go back to the princess cut. This was a Friday, he never called. I called back on Monday he was out of the office until Wednesday. I asked others there was cut was going to be placed in my ring. None of them knew, I was just getting the run around. I called back on Wednesday and told him to be honest with me, I was tired of being lied to, I wasn't rude. Then he was extremely rude and said he didn't lie, I gave him examples of every lie, he said he didn't have to take it and hung up on me. My fiance called him and he said the ring would be done on January 14th. He called and left a message on the 14th saying it wasn't ready because of the snow. That it would be done Thursday the 18th, and not to call just come on Thursday. I called before we drove all the way there, he wasn't there and the ring wasn't done. Another employee said it would be done on Friday. We went in on Friday and he put a smaller stone in, it was a .45 and was supposed to be a half carrot. After discussing it he said he would fix it (the other employee, the manager) I could pick it up the next day. We went in to get it and the stone is still not what size it was originally. It was pretty, so I took it. I love it, he was supposed to credit our account the difference in price and has not done so. The ring is poor quality, was not polished and isn't round, the ring is not a circle. He is a liar, and has poor quality once done. He has you sign a contract before you see your ring done, so that way you have no choice but to accept it. Horrible experience, not to mention being engaged and not being able to "show off" my ring.

Dont Go Here!

Went back several time to try and get what i was told i was paying for.. finally thought I got it (2 weeks later) and took the ring to another jeweler who let me know it wasnt what I was told it was. Done trust the sells people or the owner! They get you in the door and then wont call you back and seem to never be there whe you call.

excellent service

After shopping at 3 different stores we finally found one we liked.. Cassar's by far had the best customer service satisfaction and the best quality for your money. The owner himself came down and helped us find the perfect ring and perfect diamond for the perfect price. A++ thanks Cassar Jewelers!
