Terrible experience. Peter has no customer service skills. I have been a customer for 2 years (I go every three weeks) and he made a mess of my hair because he was busy with an obnoxious customer. Very disappointed. I would NOT recommend this salon to anyone unless you want bad service.
Rude staff that rushed service and did not know what they were doing! Very disappointing and won't be returning!!
At this establishment there is a strong lack of regard for the customer. My experience was demeaning and not relaxing in the least bit. I will not return to this establishment. While getting a 10 min neck massage the man giving the massage did not stop laughing and speaking and with the 4 female staff that were standing around me in a semi circle. He would stop the massage intermittently to speak and they would all laugh. I felt vulnerable and disrespected.
i ever regret going to this facility i went there to get mani & pedi to my suprise it was the worst thing i have ever done i ended up nail fungas on my toed had to go to a Dr to get it treated my I contact the spa to let them know what happen they were very rude on the phone and said they cannot help me what i should have done is to contact the health department I would not advise anyone to use this facility at 2774 Long Beach Rd Oceanside NY 11572 DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY THANK YOU FOR LISTENING
great job Cindy..I have new feet!!! Very comfortable, quiet, relaxing (and Nathan's is across the street)!!
I love this place.Very clean and professional. Nice people.Marina the hairdresser is fabulous!!!!!She gave my 18 year old son a haircut, and he loved it.I got my hair highlighted here recently , in addition to a hair cut, and received several compliments. I feel so lucky to have found this place. I will keep coming back.
Best haircut and color I ever had!For over 17 years I have gone to NYC to get my hair done at Fredrick Fakkai, Oribe, Bumble and Bumble, and Roy Teeluck salons. Paid close to $400 each time to get my hair done. My hair looked good but never fabulous Found Kim's salon by accident. Gave it a try and everyone says it's the best my hair has looked in 15 years. Bringing my sister up from fla to get her hair done. Two of my friends who use to go with me to city salons now go to KimSalon is clean with a city chic vibe but without city prices. Kim is meticulous. He takes his time with you Jenny is also sweet and friendly I'm a client for life !
This salon is family friendly and constantly doing its best to improve and become a better salon. I've been with the salon for the 2 years that its been open and I honestly have no reason to complain. The owner is a sweet lady that does her best to listen to customers and make them feel at home in the salon. The other workers do great work and my nails always stay on. The owner always does her best to explain what she's doing to customer's nails; I've listened to her greet customers and explain every procedure that they ask about. There are signs in the wax room to warn customers about the waxes and she's very gentle in her waxing. My visits to her salon have always been relaxing and if not, entertaining because the owner is sweet and fluent in English.
Caveat emptor. I started going to this salon when it first opened because the people seemed nice enough. But when compared to surrounding LI salons, it just doesn't stack up. I've used this salon over 10-15 times so I am more than have the experience to give an honest review. The service is always rushed because the owner juggles the work with only one employee. The "spa" experience they claim to have you can find the real thing for the same price elsewhere. The waiting area couch is dirty ( look behind it!), the waxing area is just nasty with old sheets and stains. The owner claims to have taken classes for eyelashes but the finished product looks more looked the night-after, forgot to take-my-makeup-off-clumpy-mascara lashes> More like legs from flies twisted together, less like lashes. There is no concept of " the customer is always right", because the owner is always right! Against my better judgment I had her do my lashes about 4 times and they kept falling off within 1-2 days. Most recently she burned both my eyes with eyelash remover while rushing to handle other customers .. I had to flush over and over with water! Again due to incompetency and general understaffing. I've witnesses a young lady come in and complain that all her lashes fell out! Forget about the nails! They rush through putting on the layers that it all bubbles or chips off within days. It appears her only focus is on gel manicures because that at least can't come off. If I could give this half star, it would be generous. My mistake.... There are many great salons where you can find professional and superior service that puts this place to shame. Try Jeanie's in Balwin on Atlantic Ave. It's awesome! Try Baldwin nail and Spa on Grand Ave….!
