On the day I visited the Oceanport pool, several things caught my eye in first 30 minutes. LAZY LIFEGUARD. The one and only lifeguard was not at the pool. Instead, she was hanging out in the concession stand, had her back towards the pool and was on her cell phone. This lasted about thirty minutes plus. There were 4 children in the pool. DIRTY. The pool clearly needed to be skimmed and I'm not talking the occasional bug or leaf. It was clearly neglected for hours. A tremendous amount of sand was on the entry steps. USED BANDAID. A dirty bandaid was left at the side of the pool. My two kids played on the jungle gym while I set up a few chairs. There was NO SUPERVISOR on site to report my findings. None! There were two very young kids (HS???) working the food stand and one useless non-attentive, non-working life guard. Where is management? Not safe. Not clean. Get your act together before an accident happens and before someone gets sick from dirty water.
