They owe me money and will not pay as promised. I had a DIRTY rental - just gross. When I contacted the Berger Realty agent, Ellen about it, she agreed to reimburse me the cost of a new shower curtain. I not only cleaned the rental so I could stay there the week, but I removed disgusting shower curtains, bought a new one and installed it - then submitted the receipt for reimbursement. The reimbursement never came. I've called and emailed Ellen, the agent, her manager Kevin and even the owner Leon. No one cares at all that the rental was disgusting or that they have not reimbursed me as they promised.
People in business to make a buck off of hard working people who just want to rent a nice shore house!!!!I rented a house in OC last summer. I have been renting homes for vacation in OC for 15 years. This house was not clean when we arrived. There were still crumbs on the kitchen table and the dirt hanging from the ceiling fans was disgusting. I understand that it was August and it was the end of the season, however there is a cleaning company that comes after each renter to clean the basics and do regular maintenance cleaning. While the owner of the home nor the Realtor are responsible for the cleanliness, they should be the ones to get on the phone and make the needed calls. This was done oh so slowly. Also our keys did not work. How difficult is it to label keys?!?!?! We were not the first renters of the season, and by the trail of crumbs on the kitchen table there were clearly renters there just hours before us!Finally, we had members of our group on vacation who were taking graduate courses on line so we rented a house the offered wi-fi. Guess what did not work. After 14 phone calls in reference to the wi-fi, Prudential did nothing!!!! Upon our check out, the house was cleaner that it probably had been all season as we take pride in leaving the house cleaner than we get it, and we returned the keys. For the first time in 15 seasons, we went in and asked to speak to someone in regards to the issues and the lack of concern and communication from their office. A woman took our information and filed a report right infront of us and was very nice. That is it. We never heard back about getting reimbursed for the lack of wifi that caused our friends to either leave from vacation or have to pay for internet use at a cafe. Let's make matters worse. I emailed and called after last August 2012. I heard nothing. I spoke to someone at the Fall block party and he said that he would call someone and get back to me. I have heard nothing. ......................... Spring block party I was now told by someone altogether different representing Prudential that they merely rent the houses and that if I had a problem that I should contact the owner. I said fine, what is the owner's name and number? He was unable to provide that info. I will never rent from Prudential for anything ever again. I may never use a Realtor either. I may go right to the source and rent from private homeowners.
