On our family vacation @ Ocean city we decided that we wanted to see if the crabs at Bahama Mamas compared to Baltimore's steamed crabs. We selected that all u can eat for $28.95pp. Although you pay per person, they just dump about 10-12 crabs in the middle of the table and then watch to make sure that only the authorized individuals ate crabs. That was okay, I guess. The crabs were okay. I left a tip, but evidently it wasn't enough because as we were leaving, our server said, "Thanks for the tip and don't ever come back." Needless to say I had some choice words for him and the manager actually condoned his behavior by trying to explain why this server may have been so upset with me. She stated that he expected his tip to be the 'usual' 15-20% and when he doesn't receive that amount then he has to 'tip out of the cash drawer...' Not to mention there were other families dining that witnessed this. I had never been so embarrassed in my life. If he wanted more money from me he certainly wasn't going to get it that way. And I just can't help but to wonder if I would've given him $3.00 more-if we would be welcomed back to Bahama Mamas.
Loved it! My husband and I ate at Watermans for the first time this past weekend. We were drawn to it by the crowded parking indicating it must be a good place to eat. We drove in and asked some folks coming out how good it was and they raved about it. We went in an were immediately greeted, then seated. My husband ordered the stuffed blackened scallops on special and I ordered the steamed seafood combination. OMG! This was the best seafood dinner we have enjoyed in years. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. All the shellfish was succulent and tender. The lobster was served with real melted butter. The fresh vegetables were also perfectly cooked slightly al dente. We loved the hush puppies. We will be frequent diners.
Busy since its august in beach town. Friendly from checking in to hostess and a great waitress. Family friendly. Love the outside decks up and down, to watch boats. We were inside at a window seat. Enjoyed a great meal with fresh salad bar. The fried soft shell crabs were perfectly seasoned and there were 3. Amazed at the green beans which were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our waitress was attentive and never forgot we were there among the increasing guests. Bus staff were quick and friendly. It can be noisy so not a place perhaps for a romantic encounter. Dessert selection by the time we were done our meal was down to two. Walked away without it. Try the salt scrub in the ladies rest room.
My husband and I have enjoyed dining there several times over the years. The menu is a bit pricey, but you expect that from a resort. The quality of the food is a 5 star along with wonderful and friendly waitstaff at your becon call. Hats off to the proud owners, cooks and staff. Now you know why they have 2 other locations to serve vacationers. We've recommended this place to our friends when they stay here. They loved the food and the atmosphere also.
We got there at 5:45 ast night for dinner and we were seated right away. Service was nice and friendly. Food prices were about average for a seafood resturaunt. Food was very good. Our son had the trifecta and the wife and I had the crab pot for two. The only thing is we wished the had A/C in the place, it was about 88 degrees outside and about 80 inside! We would definitely go again!
We ate at Fish Tales on our first night in Ocean City. The atmosphere is cool and it is a great place to hang out. However, eat some place else. The dinner wait was 90 minutes. We ordered the fish tacos and there was a hair in the dish. We sent it back - AND another hair was in the food! YUCK! Again, it is a cool place to have a drink, but the food is not worth the wait.
this place from the outside looks like any other bar or liquor store, but when you go in the people are very nice and the food is fresh. the drinks are strong. its nice to go to a place where they take the time to talk to you like family .
LITERALLY LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE. The food is great the staff is great and the sunsets are some of the best in town. Wednesday night is for college kids but every other night is fun and chill and a great spot all around.
Oh my God!! This place is so so clean and most of all the food is so good! I don't care what you order from Ocean Bites menu everything is good! If you are in Ocean City, you must stop by at that subshop and try the food!
This place has it all...oyster stew made to order right in front of you, collosal crab legs, steamed spiced shrimp, lobster ravioli, blackened tuna...you name it, they have it, and it's phenomenal. The staff is great, too!
