These guys give 40 cents per pound of aluminum cans, which is the best i have found so far. They are also quite helpful on the phone.

i have never met more rude and unprofessional people in my entire life and that's saying something seeing as how I'm from New York. I went there to sell some scrap and The first thing I do is walk into the office to let them now I was there to sell same metal and I waited for at least five whole minutes before the man and woman to finish talking (non work related). After that the man told me to drive around to the scales to be weighed. Then I waited on the scales for almost another five minutes before the girl who was at the computer for the scales to finish screwing around with her phone before I asked her if I could move, she then rolled her eyes and snidely waved me off. I then pulled into the yard and parked got out of my truck and walked over to a guy using a torch to cut a gas tank out from the bottom of a car, (6000' + gas= explosion) when I asked him where I was suppose to unload, he stared at me until I asked him THREE MORE TIMES then looked at me like I had just called his mother fat and said "that pile over there, you don't see it?". At that point I had enough so I raised my voice and told him I had never been there been before. I unloaded my junk, got my money; which was not a lot, and the F$CK out of there. If you need the money, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I sure am.
800 pounds was like $120 and that was the best pay i got out of most of them other places
Yes Ocala has a recycling center ! I was dismayed when the Sam's club and other locations removed their recycling bins. When my trash was spilling over from all the recyclables I figured it was time to find an alternative. This center is very easy, and convenient. The address isn't on my iphone or google map, but as you head west on highway 40 take a left on the paved road behind the Ocala "International" airport. The center is just ahead on the right. Note the photo attached showing hours, its closed Tuesdays and Thursdays. Open on weekends so that is convenient. The convenience of this place is that you just dump all of your recycle ready stuff into one large compactor machine. There are attendants on duty if you need help. Old refrigerators, toxic waste, can also be left here, there may be a fee for that. Good job Marion County ! This was written June 9 2013
