Don't go! Terrible place! No privacy for those in body wraps. People coming through the front door can see you and you're in the same room with every single other client she has. The building is very dirty and I felt uncomfortable from the moment I walked in. The owner is very pushy and she hovers over you throughout the entire session and talks incessantly. I had some negative side effects after my first wrap and called to tell her that I wanted to cancel my remaining sessions and she went on literally a 5 minute rant about how I need to respect her opinion and she's a professional (although she's by no means a professional by my standards) and I need to listen to her (regardless of my personal comfort or feelings). I feel scammed by her. I asked for a refund and suddenly the price of my wrap increased by 400%. I wish there was an option to give the business less of a rating because I have absolutely nothing good to say.

I AM THE OWNER OF VINTAGE HAIR CREATIONS.

I WISH TO ADDRESS THE REVIEW THAT WAS WRITTEN BY POUND4POUND.

FIRST I HAVE NO IDEA WHO THIS LADY IS. THIS IS FURTHER EVIDENCED BY THE FACT THAT SHE NEVER STATES THAT SHE WAS UNHAPPY AND BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION.

IF A CUSTOMER WANTS TO LOSE WEIGHT THEY ARE TOLD THAT THEY NEED TO FOLLOW A WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM TO LOSE WEIGHT.

ALL BODY WRAP CUSTOMERS ARE WRAPPED FOR 30 MINUTES. THESE SETTINGS ARE SET BY THE MANUFACTURER WHICH I HAVE NO CONTROL OF. MACHINES ARE PREHEATED AT THE START OF THE DAY. OFTEN TIMES I MAY PREHEAT A MACHINE WHEN I WRAP A CUSTOMER. PREHEAT TIME IS 5 MINUTES. IF I DO PREHEAT A MACHINE WHEN WRAPPING A CUSTOMER I WILL TURN THE MACHINE ON PRIOR TO THEM BEING WRAPPED. WHEN THEY ARE WRAPPED AND THE MACHINE IS PREHEATING AFTER THE 5 MINUTES THE MACHINE THEN AUTOMATICALLY STARTS TIMING DOWN FOR THE 30 MINUTES. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT I PERSONALLY HAVE NO CONTROL OF.

IF THIS LADY WAS SO UNHAPPY WITH HER WRAPS THEN WHY DID SHE SIGN UP AFTER HER FIRST WRAP FOR A MULTIPLE WRAP PROGRAM IN ADDITION IF SHE WERE INDEED SO UNHAPPY WHY WOULD SHE RETURN FOR 9 VISITS. THIS MAKES ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE.

WHEN A CUSTOMER ARRIVES FOR SUBSEQUENT WRAPS IF THEY ARE EARLY THIS IS A BIG HELP TO ME, I STAY VERY BUSY AND IF I CAN GET AHEAD THEN THAT WORKS WELL. WHEN THEY DO ARRIVE IF THEY ARE EARLY AND I CAN WRAP THEM EARLY BY ALL MEANS I DO THAT, I DO NOT MAKE THEM WAIT. IF THEY NEED TO CHANGE CLOTHES I TELL THEM THEY CAN CHANGE AND I WILL WRAP THEM. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN PEOPLE MAKE GET TIED UP IN TRAFFIC, OR LEAVE WORK LATE WHICH PUTS THEM AT MY SHOP LATE. WHEN THIS DOES HAPPEN I WILL STILL DO ALL I CAN TO WRAP THEM. IF IT PUTS ME BEHIND THEN I DEAL WITH IT. MY CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS OK WHEN I EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT I AM BEHIND.

I HAVE REPEATEDLY TOLD MY CUSTOMERS THAT I HAVE THE BEST CUSTOMERS AND LOVE THE ALL. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THEM ALL. I SHARE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCES WITH MY CUSTOMERS, WE CAN ALL LEARN THINGS AND THAT IS WHAT WE DO. I EVEN HAVE CUSTOMERS THAT TELL ME THINGS AND TELL ME TO PASS IT ON TO MY CUSTOMERS, WHICH I DO. I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS 18 YEARS AND HAVE NOT DONE THAT BY MISTREATING MY CUSTOMERS.

THERE IS NO DRAMA IN MY SHOP. THE PRIMARY REASON IS THAT I HAVE NO EMPLOYEES AND PREFER IT THAT WAY. WHEN YOU ARE IN THE WORK PLACE WITH MANY DIFFERENT PERSONALATIES THAT IS WHEN THE DRAMA STARTS, FOR THIS REASON I CHOOSE TO DO EVERYTHING MYSELF.

MY CUSTOMERS ASK ME QUESTIONS AND I ANSWER THOSE QUESTIONS FOR THEM. IT IS NOT ""CHALLENGING ME"" WHEN THEY ASK QUESTIONS. iF A CUSTOMER ASKS ME A QUESTION THAT I DO NOT KNOW I DO WHAT I HAVE TO FIND THEN THE ANSWER. I DO NOT LIE TO THEM I TELL THEN I DO NOT KNOW BUT I WILL FIND OUT. MY EQUIPMENT COMES FROM EUROPE, IF IT INVOLVES A CALL OR EMAIL TO THEM I HAVE DONE THAT.

YES, I AM CERTIFIED. I TOOK A VERY EXTENSIVE 2 DAY CLASS TO BECOME CERTIFIED TO OFFER BODY WRAPS, PART OF THAT TRAINING INVOLVED MEDICAL SITUATIONS, UNTIL I BECAME CERTIFIED I DID NOT REALIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF IT. IF SHE WANTED TO KNOW WHAT THIS MEANT, SHE COULD HAVE ASKED ME.

I WORK VERY LONG HOURS DURING THE WEEK I AM IN THE SHOP AT 6 AM AND USUALLY DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL 7 PM. ON SATURDAYS I AM IN THE SHOP AT 5 AM, SO YES I DO GET TIRED. MY CUSTOMERS ARE ALL AWARE OF THE HOURS I WORK AND THEY UNDERSTAND,

FINALLY I ACTUALLY FEEL SORRY FOR THIS LADY. I CAN NOT STRESS ENOUGH THE POINT OF WHY WOULD SOMEONE GO ANYWHERE 9 TIMES IF THEY WERE SO UNHAPPY. I DO NOT KNOW OF ANYONE THAT WOULD DO THAT. I FEEL SORRY FOR HER BECAUSE SHE OBVIOUSLY HAS OTHER ISSUES IN HER LIFE THAT SHE WANTS TO BLAME OTHER PEOPLE FOR AS SHE STATES SHE TOOK IT OUT ON HER FAMILY.

AGAIN I HAVE THE GREATEST CUSTOMERS AS I EVEN SAY IN MY RADIO AD.

what a treat

Heard the radio ad on body wraps and made an appointment for my first wrap.

This was truly a wonderful experience. The owner is very professional and makes you feel so welcome. She does everything to schedule times that work best for the customer. She opens at 7 AM during the week. What a great thing this is.

My reason for doing body wraps is for celullite and stretch marks, as well as the tummy area. I got immediate results, celullite was diminished as were the stretch marks. I lost 15 1/2 inches on my first wrap.
I really do not have a weight issue it is all the other benefits that attracted me to having this done.

I would encourage everyone who wants a body wrap to do this. These wraps work great. I have done 3 so far and look very forward to having this done each week. I am very much hooked. As others have stated this is a very professional salon. Christine works by herself and honestly I don't know how she does it keeping up with everyone but she does. I know why she has been in business for the number of years that she has.

Thinking about getting my hair done next.

JUST LOVE IT

Happy to say that I have been doing wraps for a little over 2 years.

My results are phenomonal! I needed to lose weight, rather a lot of weight. I have been under a doctors weight loss program and not really able to do a lot of excercising. Doing the wraps as really helped with my inch loss. I have actually lost 3 full sizes. I am wearing clothes that I haven't been able to in a while. These wraps really are the best thing ever. Ms Christine has helped me so much along the way. She is knowledgable and really wants her customers to succeed.

The other big advantage is that I have arthritis and these wraps are reallly helping with that. I am a lot more comfortable and can do things I haven't been able to do.

Anyone who really wants to lose weight and needs the help these wraps are the way to go. The customer support is unmatchable.!!!

So glad I gave up being reluctant to try these.

Love the retail area too.

love these body wraps!

I purchased a series of body wraps and have been over joyed.

On my first visit I was given a great deal of very helpful and informative information. I was asked if I wanted to lose weight and when I said I did I was told ""to lose weight you have to do a weight loss program."" I had tryed on my own and had been unsuccessful. I was told doing a diet with body wraps will yield the best possible results.

I did as I was told and everything stated was totally true. I am dieting and doing some walking and the body wraps. 6 weeks later (and 6 wraps later) I was amazed to have lost 13 1/2 pounds and 36 1/4 inches. This is the best thing I could have done.

I love this salon so much I will start having my hair done too. All the customers are great I have formed a lot of new friendships.

BODY WRAPS AT VINTAGE HAIR CREATIONS, OCALA, FL

I have been researching these wraps a little more and found that they recommend the full 40 minutes for the procedure. Wish I had known that before I had the treatments. I may have had better luck with the weight loss.



Vintage Hair advertises that you will receive 30 - 40 minutes, however, you will be lucky to get 30. Yet, beware if you bring that to the owner's (Christine) attention. She may bite your head off! That could be a way she tricks you into coming back for more and more wraps. I would recommend that you take a watch, phone, or time piece of some sort, because there are no clocks around to check your time. On several occasions, I did not even get the full 30 minutes she promised. Especially, the first one and the last one. These must be the "free" ones she speaks of in her radio ads. (They were both less heat intensive and with less time, only about 22 minutes.) One time, she turned on the unit before I was even done changing and then scolded me for losing my time. (I was actually EARLY for this appointment and she told me she needed me to hurry up so there would be enough time to finish her other appointment, who was running late.) How was that MY fault?



This infra-red body wrap at Vintage Hair Creations was NOT a pleasant experience for me. What you are told during the first appointment, is MISLEADING and NOT the way it actually is. But after you buy the full package, you're stuck. The owner (Christine) does not have a good "bedside manner." She is rude, aggressive, and unprofessional. She claims she is "Certified" to perform these wraps. Not sure what that means... She slaps the wraps on you like you are a piece of meat getting ready to be put in the grinder - One week they're tight, the next week, they're loose. Then, she sprays you with the cleaning product when she cleans the pads on the other bed!



She does NOT like to be challenged or questioned about the procedure. First, she tells you that you don't have to diet for this process to work. Then, halfway through your appointments, she scolds you for not losing weight! (I thought that's why I was there???) Her radio ad specifically says you WILL lose inches and weight. I DID lose about 3 pounds after the first two wraps, but it slowly came right back. I think that was probably the result of sweating and water loss. Again - misleading.



And her scale never matched mine at home. Kinda like the doctor's office! Also, my weight would flucuate sometimes by 3 or 4 pounds, if I got on her scale more than once! Yet, she said hers was the most accurate - ?



Every time I have been there she has been running behind. And, then she discusses all the DRAMA about her other customers and always complains about how tired she is. She is probably complaining about ME right now. I didn't feel important as a customer there at all. It's no wonder she has no employees - no one could work with her!



Now, the wraps DID seem to work. I do feel an inch loss in the way my clothing fits now. It took about 8 -9 weeks though for me to notice it, even though on paper there was an inch loss recorded. I would love to continue with more body wraps, but NEVER again at THIS salon. Won't somebody else please offer us this procedure at your salon and give her some competition? Maybe she will learn to treat her customers better!



If you are expecting a spa-like experience, think twice before you go in to this salon. I went home extremely agitated after each session and took it out on my family.

Bad Haircut

Arrived on time for my haircut appointment to find my hair dresser, Aimee had a someone she was only halfway done with. This was understandable until she called another person back--later noting she forgot my phone number and couldn't call to let me know that she was running late and decided to put another appointment ahead of mine. Wait time 35 minutes.

This could have been overlooked, until I got the worst haircut of my life. Got home and then noticed after brushing my hair she missed several areas and hair was hanging a lot longer in areas that were overlooked. Unfortunately, Aimee was too busy trying to manage three clients that my haircut was neglected.

I have been to this salon before and had a positive experience, however I won't be back again.

Wouldn't take my dog!

This lady hacked my hair. She didn't listen to what I asked for. She never answers the phone. There was another lady getting a body wrap at the same time I got my hair cut in the same room. With out so much as a screen for the woman's privacy. And she made the poor woman wait in the hot body wrap for over 10 minutes before getting her out. The shop in dirty. She picked up a towel off of the floor that my hair had been falling on and wiped off the scissors she used and put them back in the drawer. It was hot inside and she didn't have on the air or even a fan. Very unproffesional. My hair is uneven, there are chunks missing from it and several places where there are groups of hair that are a half inches longer than the rest. I walked out put my hair in a pony tail and called another salon while i was still in the parking lot.

The best for EVERYTHING!

Vintage Hair Creations is amazing! The owner (Christine) is MORE than helpful and overly accomodating. I had an appointment with her at 6 AM and she had NO problem with the time. Anytime I have phoned and reached her voice mail I ALWAYS had a call back. The individual saying negative things on this site is WAY OFF BASE!! NOTHING they said is true. I do body wraps and hair with her and I will never go anywhere else.

The owner of Vintage Hair Creations is VERY good at working with customers as far as appointment times. She is VERY accomodating to everyone! The shop is immaculate. She works the salon by herself and does a great job with everyone and everything. I highly recommend Vintage Hair Creations for all your needs.

Vintage Hair Creations is the place to go for body wraps,hair styling, and boutique shopping for jewelery and stylish fashions.The salon owner is creative and very knowledgeable,and very professional. The shop is absolutely clean and the owner maintains the highest quality of sanitary standards.I have been a customer for over 14 years. There is no where else I would consider going.

DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON!! DIRTY DIRTY

The owner does not know what customer service is. She over books herself and then rushes you through your appointment. She doesn't call you back and never answers the phone. All in all she is just completely rude and her shop is disgusting. She also will not refund your money if there are any problems and will hung up on you if you ask her to refund you.
