Dr. High is honest, competent, and has been working with me to pinpoint my horse's mysterious lameness. I highly recommend him for joint/soft tissue problem areas for your horse. HIs pricing is fair and the diagnostic equipment used is outstanding.

Ocala Equine Hospital is a surgical referral center established in 1997 to treat elective surgical cases and orthopedic emergencies. We have a full range of advanced surgical and diagnostic equipment enabling us to provide premiere surgical referral services for the region. Our swimming pool recovery system is unique to the region and complements our expertise in fracture repair. We also provide ambulatory services for emergencies, preventative care, lameness, reproduction, radiography and general medical care.

Veterinary Surgery
Dr. Pulliam is originally from Anchorage, AK and was raised in Sarasota, FL. She earned her bachelor’s degrees at the University of South Florida in 2011 and a Master of Science at the University of Florida Department of Animal Sciences in 2016. Dr. Pulliam graduated from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2021 and began her internship at Ocala Equine Hospital shortly thereafter. A few of her professional interests include equine reproduction and breeding management, neonatal medicine & foal care, and soft tissue surgery.

Laboratory Services
Ocala Equine Hospital has a full service laboratory for in-house and outside veterinarians offering a multitude of blood tests, hormone assays and microbiology techniques. Having a full service laboratory allows our veterinarians to institute appropriate therapies rapidly for our patients. Our laboratory is a certified equine infectious anemia (Coggins) lab and routinely runs other regulatory and import / export tests. OEH also processes Interleukin Receptor Antagonist Protein (IRAP) and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) for use in regenerative therapies.
X-Ray
The ambulatory department focuses primarily on thoroughbred and show horse clientele, including lameness in performance horses and full reproductive services. The practice is equipped with digital radiography, digital ultrasonography, and shockwave therapy.
