Kids Central is a nonprofit agency that offers a variety of child protection services in the Citrus, Hernando, Lake, Marion and Sumter counties in Florida. It promotes the welfare of children through abuse and neglect prevention, in-home and foster care and adoption services. The agency offers kinship care services to more than 700 children. It administers the Relatives as Parents Program (RAPP), which offers informational and emotional support through monthly sessions on several topics related legal and financial services. In addition, it provides independent living programs and adoption support services. The agency partners with several organizations, including the LifeStream Behavioral Center, Camelot Community Care and the Children s Home Society of Florida. Kids Central is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and is located in Ocala, Fla.
