I really thought I was done with this dealership after getting rid of the Jetta that I returned because of the whole diesel fraud back in April 2017. Well the third part agent didn't tell me I need to go on the DMV site to change ownership. Got a letter from DMV that the registration is still in my name and needed to renew the registration. Called DMV left a message and two days later Brian calls me to get that take care of. He was to send over the authorization form via email and told me to call if I didn't have it. Well I didn't get it........The first sales rep I got kept saying Brian isn't there yet I JUST talked with him 60 seconds ago. I tried to explain that I had just talked with him and if he could just go check who handles the dmv registration changeovers. He left me on hold until the phone went to voicemail because he simply didn't want to deal with finding the right Brian or connecting me with someone who could help me......like Felinda, the manager. Then I called back to get ANOTHER incompetent employee who got me over to another employee who left me on hold for so long that my phone call AGAIN went to voice mail. I called back a third time and this time asked for the manger Felinda. I asked to speak to her directly. I was patched through to her VOICEMAIL. So I called back to get her on the line. At this point I'm livid and rightly so. So I kept calling back until someone would get off their a** and actually do something to help me. That took 10 call backs until some found her. Seems that the only way to get anyone to respond at VW is to be the squeaky wheel. Niceness doesn't work at this dealership. I truly hope that this place goes out of business. With the way I have been treated there starting with the guy who leased me my jetta in 2013 to today, I truly hope that no one else has the displeasure of dealing with their rudeness.STAY AWAY!
This dealership is super shady from my experience. They didn't tell me about the service fee for diagnosing when I booked my appointment. Or that my "appointment" didn't ensure a quick turn around so i could then get to work in a timely fashion as my wife and I had to wait almost an hour before being helped and almost as long before even being greeted. I also thought it was shady that they wanted to collect this $250 diagnostic fee for what is a commonly known problem online. The guy checking the vehicle in said he had never encountered the exhaust in the vehicle problem before while idiling at a stop with the heat/ defrost on. This continues to be a big problem for our 2008 Nissan altima hybrid as we cannot use the climate control features without being gassed out:(
I have the cursed Jetta TDI. The check engine light came on and the dealership is charging me $651 to replace the Rear oxygen sensor. What a bunch of crooks! The manager's explanation was it takes his mechanic at least an hour to find the problem ($175/hour). Really Webster!!! These days to find a electrical issue with a NEW car you hook it up to a computer which spits out a error code telling you exactly where to find the problem. It takes less then 5 minutes. And I did verify this with 3 other VW shops (dealer and non-dealers).Now the Rear O2 sensor is a plug so literately you have to dig a bit (no more the 30 min max) to get to the plug, pull it out and replace it. That's it. I actually watched the guy at the shop where I took my car in for a repair do it so don't try and tell me YOUR mechanics that are VW TRAINED will take over an hour to replace it. So the max you should be charging for the work is $145 + the $250 for the part. That's a total of $400. I've been coming to the shop for almost 10 years now. I explained that this month I've been hit by hospital expenses and it's my daughter's 16th Birthday. You'd think they'd at least be honest with their charges. NOPE! They don't care. As long as the money goes in their pocket what does it matter if they are overcharging.The whole service office staff has changed since my previous visit. It's now run by the crooked Webster and his hooligans. I would highly discourage anyone from using them. I found a great shop in Berkeley that does VW repair. You can message me for the name if you want. HONEST, solid people. Got the whole job done for $330 + tax. Still out the $175 to VW for the supposed hour it took for the mechanic to hook the car up to the computer and read the error on the screen. Sounds to me the money went to pay for reading lessons for him so he code read the instructions the computer was giving him because he sure wasn't digging under my hood.
Just had my Subaru serviced at Downtown Subaru. They listened to my concerns and got me out in a reasonable amount of time. They even washed my car. Nice job. Thanks.

I found a car I was very interested in and emailed the internet manager at the dealership about it. I live far away, so email was my best method of trying to find out details about the car and whether the price was firm or negotiable. It was during this process that my contact flat out lied to me twice to get me to drive to the dealership. He was rude, dishonest, and had no respect for me or my time. When I tried to clarify the truth of the matter in email, he was sarcastic and lied even further. I am a very successful business woman who is acustom to communicating with difficult clients daily, and I have never been treated so poorly or had someone be so blatantly dishonest. I was ready to buy a car this weekend, but because of this experience, this dealership will NOT be getting my business. Beware- they will lie, cheat, and steal their way into your checkbook - I don't even trust what they are saying about the quality of their cars now.
Dishonest Scammers. STAY AWAY! One Toyota Service scratched one truck in during a warranty repair on a BRAND NEW truck. On the purchase of another truck they got the wrong vehicle that was more expensive then we agreed on, then woudlnt work with me on the price for their mistakes. They initially refused to remove and replace a lock on the spare tire on a brand new truck. STAY AWAY or you could be next!!!

Great service! They always have a loaner car available and help me get things working they way they should. The latest example was my new Android phone - loading contacts, getting handsfree name dialing to work right, etc.
This is the first time I have ever dealt with an official reputable dealership. I had such a great experience here! These guys really take the time to explain things to you and they do their best to accommodate to one's wants and needs. I call my new car the "pimp" car because it has all these wonderful features... Not to mention the added back-up sensors and window tints. My old car was 12 years old and it was time to lay her to rest. I love my new Chevy and I am finally driving around in style! Overall, I am happy with the service and I have already recommended them to folks. Keep up the good work Bay City!! You're awesome!!
