Southwest Airlines Company is a passenger airline that provides short-haul, high frequency, point-to-point, low-fare, scheduled air transportation services in the United States. Started in 1971 with three Boeing 737 aircraft serving Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, the company now operates more than 535 Boeing 737 aircraft and serves over 60 cities in approximately 30 U.S. states. Based in Dallas, Southwest Airlines Company operates more than 3,300 flights a day and has a staff of over 35,000 employees. The company s frequent flyer program, Rapid Rewards, enables customers earn credits when dining at approximately 9,000 restaurants, bars and clubs throughout Canada and the U.S. It also sells credits to business partners, including credit card companies, hotels and car rental agencies.

Overall

We have flown this airline repeatedly and have been satisfied with our flights. As a family we are always looking for ways to save money and the no baggage fee is a huge money saver. We also belong to the rapid rewards program and have been able to use the points earned for free flights with no problems.
