Editorial review from Citysearch

In response to the only review from 2006. The customer was offered re-filing and publication free of charge and did not take the offer even though we had no record that the fax was even received.

Completely dropped the ball on legal notice

I filed a fictitious business name statement with the county clerk, paying my $36 fee. A few days later, I received a letter from Inter-City Express, letting me know that they have a package deal for the required publication of these notices.

I went ahead and called them to verify the service, faxed them the forms, then called and gave them my credit card information. I was told that everything was going to be taken care of, and that I would be receiving notice that the proof of publication had gone to the county clerk's office.

Weeks passed, and our business really picked up. I had my hands full working with clients and other business matters. Then, recently, it occurred to me that I haven't received anything from Inter-City Express. I called in and was told that they had no record of me or my company. Sure enough, I could find no charges on my credit cards. But that doesn't excuse the fact that they told me they would take care of everything, and then completely failed to execute their obligation.

Now I have to go through the entire process again; pay the fees for filing again, and this time I'll pay another paper to publish.

Lesson learned.
