Love this gym! Close to Fruitvale Bart Station so it's super convenient. Really friendly family oriented place to work out.

I've been drafting this review since last night. As of today, I am no longer a member and feel I can write an adequate review. (Also, many of the 5-star reviews were incentivized. I know as I was a member there for almost a year)Here are the bullet points, below is the narrative:Trainers are great Small gym, location is horrible for public transitCustomer Service is the WORSTManagement style is awfulSales tactics are deceitful.First of all, let me say, I love the trainers. I stayed just for them. But it is costly. Nowadays, she is charging $199/month! You have to go to groups, NO open gym time as promised, and you must work around their schedule. I wanted out of my membership since March. I was surprised to find out I had to pay 50% of the monthly fees for each month until my membership was finished, regardless of my injuries, etc. Back to the point. Recently, the owner (Nathalie) tried to increase fees on my friends who are veterans there. I stood up for them on facebook. 24 hours later, I get an email cancelling my membership. I am free to forward you this email if you would like.As far as her sales tactics, you really have to be the brand. If you aren't walking the talk, I'm not buying. That's all I will say about that. This is a shame because TPS would be great if customer service was better. Take care of clients AND staff AND community. Be a good person. Simple. That just hasn't happened. I feel the LGBT community is being exploited and I apologize I ever promoted this gym (free promotion of course, bc Nat is too cheap to incentivize that!)
