So recently on July 17th I went with my husband to Oakdale, LA for a job he was doing. We wanted Mexican food and this place said "Mexican Restaurant". After looking over everything on the menu I decided to have the Chicken Fried Steak with Fries and "Texas" Toast. It was fine. Went back the next day for lunch with the workers and had a Roadkill Burrito. Pretty much a large tortilla with a mixture of ground beef, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, guacamole, and smothered in cheese sauce. It was alright but then one of the workers ordered a fajita taco and the waitress asked soft or hard he said soft.. She brings him back a soft taco but with ground beef instead of fajita.. Then sign then says make sure of what you order because they will not be exchanging.. So we left it at that..
To make a long story short, I recently returned home and today, July 24th 2013, My husband tells me that they went to the same restaurant and sat at a table. He is Mexican and when I was with them I ordered for them because they wanted to make sure they were brought the right things but they do know enough English to order from a menu. So one waitress turned her nose up at them and refused to serve them because "She doesn't speak Spanish" but what I don't understand is if they didn't know English why would they go into a restaurant that they know couldn't understand them? Service isn't all its cracked up to be.

I love it there! It may not look very appealing but the dishes there are the very best! I've eaten fake mexican food before and that just doesn't do it for me. But when I went to Casa Pepe's it was the realist, most authentic mexican food i've ever eaten! All I can say is keep it up! And Hey to that cute little brunette waitress ;)
