My wife and I are down for the weekend and decided to check Cowboy's out. When we arrived we were greeted at the door by a courteous doorman and easily made our way into the club where we saw a variety of activities to keep us entertained....namely the dance floor with a full stage with lights, smoke, and everything. They even had a cover band that was honestly one of the better ones I have seen in my almost six years of living in Texas. There were many fully stocked bars and standing behind them were bar tenders that were attentative and seemed to keep the waiting down to a minimum. For those of us that chose beer over liquor there were also several beer stations that kept you from waiting in line behind people ordering multiple mixed drinks. This place has a bull, card and pool tables, and decent seating. Oh, and you can get food there too if you so choose. If you forgot your cowboy hat...they have you covered. There is a gift shop with some hats for both the ladies and the guys. In the four or so hours we were there we noticed that the bouncers were on their game because the rif-raf was non-existant. Those too young to drink did have an M written on both hands and were required to wear wristbands but that is understandable. I know that back home alot of the places make minors wear a shirt that announces their inability to purchase alcohol so I dont think that a mark and wristband is such a bad break. We had an outstanding time and plan on going back the next time we are in San Antonio.
I LOVE THIS BAR, IT IS THE BEST!!!! I LOVE THE FACT THAT BAR TENDERS REMEMBER ME && REMEMBER THAT I LIKE MY DOS XX WITH SALT && NO LIME. EVEN AFTER A MONTHS OF NOT BEING THERE, THEY STILL REMEMBERED. I FELL COMFY IN THERE. I EVEN FELL COMFY ENOUGH TO GO BY MYSELF. I AM GOING TO KEEP GOING HERE!!…
3. The Hangar
8203 Broadway StSan Antonio, TX 78209
From Business: Fly by The Hangar for great food, strong drinks and wide array of entertainment every night of the week! Centrally located along the Broadway strip, less than 3 miles from the airport, The Hangar is “the destination” bar in San Antonio.
Ive been all over the country and parts of the world and sir winstons is by far my favorite bar. Its a small neighborhood bar with the best bar tenders around. The drinks are pretty cheap and the atmosphere is always drama free. I love this place.
This is am awesome place. They have the BEST BARTENDERS in San Antonio!! Martinis, cocktails any drink you like and a few of our own specials. We also have an outside bar where you can socialize, watch the games or sit at the patio with your best friend ( the 4 paws kind :) Check us out. You'll …
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO RAFFLES ON AND OFF FOR YEARS. IT IS A FUN BAR YOU ALWAYS FEEL WELCOME, MEN ALWAYS ASK YOU TO DANCE AND TO BUY YOU DRINKS. THE MEN ALWAYS ACT CHARMING AND THE WOMEN TRY TO BE NICE! IF YOU GO YOU'LL HAVE A GREAT TIME AND DON'T LET ANY OF THE OLDER LADIES MAKE TO MUCH FUN OF Y…
as soon as we walked in we was greeted by the owner and he explained the menu in detail.he was sure to point out they offered by the bottle pricing which was very resonably priced,we was then offered a place to sit he mentioned some areas was more quite then others and gave us a choice..the wait…
This place is rustic in decor and very comfortable. The staff is extra attentive and the drinks are very reasonable. The art work is fambulous and the clientle is very interesting. The bar has an excellent choice of liquors as well as over 80 premium Tequilas. Can't miss with this place.
dixies country bar is anything but country. the decor might be 50's or rockabilly, but this is a great rock and tattoo bar with live music of weekends. drinks are pretty cheap. the bar tenders are always pretty cool and tend to over-pour a little more than other spots.
The bartender was rude as soon as we arrived I notice her attitude and by the end of the night I went to close my tan and she told me to f'ing wait then she added a 50$ tip without asking. She swiped my card a 2nd time for 25$ this place had horrible customer service. Btw the bartender was the A…
24. Little Woodrow's
BABCOCK RdSan Antonio, TX 78229
From Business: Back in 1938, a guy named Coach decided he wanted to open a bar. He wanted his bar to feature the coldest beer in town and he wanted it served by friendly, beautiful girls from Texas. If his customers could get that plus a place to watch the game, hang out with good friends and sit outside on a nice deck, hed be a real hap…
Serving the San Antonio Area.
This place is awesome, Im openly gay and have excellent service here all the time. If you feel like acting like a girl when you are a boy you need to go else where, there are bars for those types of acts. And as far as everyone jumping on his bandwagon it's probably the same person with too much time on their hands since they cant display real names. Miami bar I wouldn't worry I plan on having another party this weekend. For that many people to escort you out you must have been acting a fool and probably a bad tipper as well, lol. And why didn't you dress like you normally dress for the news? Did you need more sympanthy? If anyone is a disgrace to the san antonio gay community is people like "Henry" that disrespect the STRAIGHT community and think they can turn any straight guy. If people really wanted to see that they would go to the gay strip. Get a life and quit enmbarrassing yourself and the gay community. As far as dress code goes guys wearing hats any "gentleman' will always take their hats off in front of a woman. If your hat is more important that the respect of a woman then maybe your at the wrong bar and the wrong side of town. LMAO
I love Rookies. I know that there were some concerns about the manager but I believe that the issue has been addressed and she is no longer there. I am not a regular, but my pours have always been extremely generous. I know there were some general concerns about the owner, and all I can say is that he is super nice and the driving force behind a great place to hang. He is down to earth and more than likely you have met him and thought he was just a friendly guy at the bar. Definitely a bar that you need to swing by and have a drink at whether youre a regular or not! Also...Rookies beverage catering is the best option for your parties. I had mentioned to a friend that I knew this bar that catered and she used them for a graduation party. Not only were there generous pours...they never ran out of liquor (unlike some catering companies)! Even if you never go to rookies bar I would use the catering service in a heartbeat.
This new sports bar is a bit hidden but worth the find. Bring some friends with you because you'll want to stay a while. A bartender named Yamil from Puerto Rico was friendly and knew his Spurs facts...good conversationalist and also an active duty Army Staff Sargent. The place is exceptionally clean and one of only a few that I've found here in San Antonio with a choice of draft beers on the cheap. They also carry your favorite mixed drinks. It's not a dive bar. They have live music and a bar menu that carries somewhat of a version of the Philly Cheese Steak and burgers. The owner named Dana makes sure everyone is on point for service. The bar features a few flat screens along with a huge screen to watch your favorite games. I highly recommend this bar although not five star but not far..who knows after this weekends updates.
This nightclub really sets apart from all of the others. It really has such an amazing atmosphere, it is clean, fun, and really nice. We went on a Saturday night. It was a late crowd but man it got packed. The door guy was really nice. We sat on the patio and smoked and he talked to us. He also enforced the dress code which was nice to see. He was very professional about it too. The bartender was hot. She was really accomodating and worked really fast. I hate when I go to bars and no one is husseling to get drinks out. Here it was different. All of the employees were working hard with still being friendly. Drinks were really good. The bartender suggested a cucumber drink that had a chili rim and it was delicious. We found our Saturday night spot for sure.
Wow! I just had lunch at La Tuna and it was great! I had the Chicken Sandwich. There was 4 in our party and we all enjoyed our selections very much. The food was hot, fresh and full of flavor. Looking at the other diners' dishes, I'd have to say everything looked great. The portions were generous. The service was wonderful as well. We had a great lunch and will definitely be back to try out some other dishes. It does get a little crowded at lunchtime, but we got there just before the crowd came in. There is not too much seating indoors, but there are plenty of tables outside in the shade of the pecan trees. Even at a little less than 100 degrees, people outside seemed to enjoy themselves. The shade of the trees really helped making it tolerable.
Beautiful nightclub, the decor is unlike anywhere in San Antonio. As we arrived the door guy was turning away some people who werent dressed right which was reassuring. We arrived around 10 and quickly realized it is a late crowd. So if you are an early bird like us, just hang out and wait because it will get crowded around 11:30. The cocktails were really good too, very inexpensive. We had about 8 drinks all premium (Greygoose-Shiner-Crown-Shots of Patron) and the tab with tax was about only $25. A lot of the tables were reserved for VIP Bottle Service which looked super cool because the bottles were delivered with a sparkler. We had so much fun that we are going to have my friends birthday party there next month.
I love it here! They have live bands almost every weekend and a great DJ! The drink prices are great and the atmosphere is wonderful! They also have one of the best Margaritas I have ever tasted! If you like Tejano music or just love to dance, this is the place to be! I also love going on weds nights for karaoke night... I have a blast...not to mention $1 beer from 9pm-11pm. The owner is are so nice and friendly. She always makes us feel comfortable. There has never been any altercations when I have gone, so that makes me feel safe as well. The door guys is super sweet as well. I like that we walks the parking lot and keeps an eye on peoples vehicles. This place is now my go to place every weekend!
I went here for lunch. I had the La Tuna Trio. (mini burgers) They were very good. I got 1 each of the three available flavors. My 3 friends all enjoyed their meals also. The service was excellent and the prices were reasonable. There is limited seating inside but plenty outside. So, go early or be prepared for the current weather conditions. It seemed it took just a little long to have the food come out but not so long that it was a problem. The order counter was in a hallway between two rooms. Not the best place when there is a line to order. I will go back.
I find myself being being an extremly picky person when it comes to bars, nightclubs, and restaurants. I have experienced some of the best and worst places not only in SA but in all around the US. Ivory has made it to the top of my list, especially for San Antonio. I went on a Saturday night and the whole experience was FABULOUS. The DJ played a good variety of music, the drinks were inexpensive because they had several specials, and the service was great. I was impressed with how clean everything was since it was all white.
