I'm a local and finally tried this restaurant for breakfast. Staff was very friendly. Cleanliness was fair. We both tried the omelets and they both came out saturated in cooking oil. They were so bad we showed our server and they agreed and offered to replace both omelets. Sadly the next two came out very similar, dripping cooking oil and tasted like cooking oil. We kept hearing blender running. All we can figure is they are blending the egg with the cooking oil. Never has such a really bad omelet. We told the server we could not eat them and she apologized and let us leave without paying.....Would not recommend this diner.
Bad Choice! Lots of bones in the flounder & staff that doesn't seem to care if you ever come back! There are lots better options in the area. Beana's Kitchen, if you want breakfast or lunch. Or if you want fried seafood and don't mind leaving the island, Atlantic Seafood has MUCH better food, great portion sizes, and reasonable pricing
Consistently Good! I'm a local and eat here frequently. It's just basic diner food, but it's quick and delicious, and the service is usually quite friendly.

If I have to give a rating I will give this place one star. I didn't actually get to eat here. This morning my husband and I tried to eat lunch here. We had not been to this restaurant before. When we walked in we saw a hand written sign on the door saying breakfast was over and lunch was starting at 11:00. No problem because it was 10:50. Their menu even said lunch was 11:00-2:00. We had planned to sit down and look at the menu and then be ready to order by 11:00. When we walked in we noticed they weren't super busy and we waited to be seated. A young lady who worked there came up and instead of greeting us with pleasantries quickly informed us lunch wouldn't begin for 20 minutes. Since she was rude and since this would now mean 11:10 for us to order we decided to leave. I guess she thought we were just tourists to the island and she didn't care how she treated us because we wouldn't be back. What she didn't know was my husband and I were actually on oak island that day to buy a house and we were meeting with our realtor after lunch. Since we had such a bad experience here chances are we will NEVER eat here when we finally do close on our house and move to oak island. We will take our money to a restaurant that actually appreciates their customers.
