I have been having my cars repaired at Kohrs for over 20 years and have yet to have a bad experience. They call and let me know any additional items on my car that need to be fixed and explain in detail both the why and how much. My last visit a few weeks ago was so safe during Covid. I have recommended them to all my friends.

Overall

I am also dissatisfied with these guys. Sure they are going to write a rebuttle to try to minimalize my poor review of their services but I will let other shoppers know my experience.



I took my RV in for a front end alignment and was told by the staff they have an excellent alignment man. We did discuss pricing and options up front but I felt like I needed to tell them NOT to make wholesale changes without my permission. They road tested my RV, aligned the front end and called and told me it was ready to pickup and all was fine. Well, it wasn't fine and the truck still wandered on the interstate at highway speeds at the point of being almost dangerous. Even though they told me the technician test drove the rig after the alignment, I can tell you there is no way he drove it on the Interstate as I told them was needed.



So I took the rig back to let them know that my $400.00 alignment was unsatisfactory. They took the rig back in but this time it sat for awhile before they got on it. They reset the toe-in but that didn't help. So, now they start experimenting with ideas and even talk to me about possibly having to change out the steering box?? Really, On a truck with 40,000 miles on it. So they made some other less expensive changes and in the end I think the truck will drive they way it is supposed to however, they did charge me another $200.00. This is the part I feel is where they gouged me. If the original technician would have actually drove the rig on the interstate at highway speeds he would have realized there was something else wrong other than the $400.00 alignment. So they say they have great customer service. Maybe not. When I got upset about the 2nd bill they wanted to get into a debate with me instead of asking how to resolve my issue and make sure I left as a happy customer.



Bottom line, they more than likely do good work, eventually. i will only give them 3 stars on this one for improper diagnostics. Customer service after I was 100% dissatisfied 0 stars. They could care less. As a disclaimer, I work in a similar industry and I'll be d@#$d if my service manager took an attitude like I had to put up with at Kohrs, my owner would have his rear end in his office discussing his future. But don't worry Kohrs will defend their behavior at the cost of making this customer happy.
