A one-star rating is generous!

Sorry to have to give a negative report! We set out to have an "bowling" outing of family and friends. From the snippish woman we spoke to during the day, to the arrogant counterman we dealt with that night--and the rude kitchen staff in between....we won't be going back.

The young lady behind the desk...

The young lady behind the desk was very friendly. And was willing to work with my expection of the bowling cost. Thank you so much I wil be going back again and bringing my friend... even if the cost is higher.

After bowling at Novi Bowl for...

After bowling at Novi Bowl for over 15 years without incident, a group my child was part of had a terrible experience there. Not sure if there is new management or just a crabby night for employees? First, an early arrival (adult) was told there was no reservation and they left assuming they were there on the wrong night, next the organizer of the party was also told there was no reservation but after convincing the employee to look up the reservation he conveniently found it. Then instead of 8 lanes for 30 individuals they were given 6 lanes, 5/persons per lane. (The alley had 1 other customer at the time so almost all the lanes were open.) This caused alot of work for the organizer who had to shuffle individuals around to make groups of 5. Then one child asked the employee to put up bumpers in her lane and was told "No you are a dancer, you should have good hand eye coordination, just aim down the middle of the lane:" Wow! Since when is it okay for an adult to speak this way to a 13 year old??? An adult chaperoning the group had to go over and speak to this female employee. Why couldn't she just put up the bummer as the customer asked? Some of the paying customers were young and inexperienced bowlers and needed the bumpers. I am not sure what is going on at Novi Bowl but next year we are heading out to another bowling alley. Who needs this kind of "customer service"? Not me!!!
