Family Taxi Service

First off, all of the 5 star reviews are written by someone from the company. They are way too similar, all written on the SAME DATE (just about) and ALL contain broken English.



I called for a cab going 3.5 miles from a car dealership to my house (both IN NORWOOD). First I was told 20-25 minutes. I was way too generous and waited 35 minutes before placing a second call. Was told "bad traffic" (which was BS) and he could get someone there "in 10 minutes"... 15 minutes pass.



I ended up walking home the 3.5 miles because for some messed up reason in is very hard to get cab BASED IN NORWOOD to pick you up IN NORWOOD.



FU FAMILY TAXI!

Just watched a driver drive in reverse at top speed through a huge apartment complex that has tons of kids. Then drove like a maniac 3 more times. I think your safer walking blindfolded down rt 1!

Waiting at busy stop sign, waved at driver from family taxi to use blinker (he had passenger) and he told me FU ! Got plate number and reported him to company. Don't know if I got "the driver" but he said that he would speak to him. Might report to Norwood PD. I would never use this company !

I booked the taxi to go to Air port form Canton. At the time of booking they told the fare is $69 plus Toll. On the way Driver told that tolls are $11 and I said OK. Then he asked about the tip. I said $10. then he said that the traffic is bad and he has to go in a different root and hiked the toll $25. But when I reached Airport and handed him 6 $20 bills he said that he dont have change and I dont have time to get the change. So Be careful of these greedy guys.

Terrible. I called in the morning, and reserved a car for 10pm. When I called at 9pm to confirm and set the exact time, they told me there was NO reservation. AND, that they could not get me a car, it was 'too late', that I should have called earlier. Completely left me in the lurch, scrambling for something else.



Horrible. Also, all conversations on the phone are so unprofessional. This appears to be just some couple with a car trying to make some money, not a real taxi. Beware, stick with someone reputable.

...not to bother, unless you were going somewhere that made it worth their while. Family Taxi doesn't do local runs...then why call yourself a taxi service. I tried to get a taxi from Dover to the Westwood train station, and they told me they don't do local service, but if I wanted to go to the airport, thennnn we could talk. I called Veteran's Taxi service out of Newton/Waltham, and they can do it...again that was Veteran's Taxi.

BUYER BEWARE. If No STARS were an option I would choose that. If you have a local destination they will "no call and no show" until you cancel. I waited for an hour and called several times the cab was always on it's way in 5-10 minutes but never came. Finally after the fourth call they said the cab had a flat tire but was now on its way and would be there in ten minutes. They never showed up a half o houtr later I called my wife to leave work and come get me other ise i would still be waiting.

i call to many cab company no body came this morning and it was very bad wather

and i need ride to work so i called family taxi i dont know how but rhey came to my house for twenty five minutes and safe my life thank you family taxi i will call again and good luck

never call for service from family taxi they always five minutes before waiting for me i never call twice they are very good nice and very friendly people good luck & see you soon‎

yesterday I was on road after missing my last bus and I called family taxi. And they were there in 10 minutes as committed. Not only that . that car was in very good condition and the driver took shortest possible path towards the destination. Than thank you‎

I WENT TO LOGAN WITH THIS TAXI AND THEY WERE ON TIME RESPECTFULL AND CLEAN. I FELT I WAS WELCOMED AND COMFERTABLE AND IN THE FUTURE I WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN.
