We heard a lot of good reviews so we decided to try it out. The manager named Karen was horrible - very rude and cranky + bitchy. I can't believe she was cursing at two of her customers after they walked out the door. She used f@#$% at one of her waitress. She also yelled a young child 2 seats from us. She acted like she was on drug - definately scary. We won't go there again.
This is the tale of two, rocky's restaurants one quite pretentious, one quite down to earth. rocky's of northville offers seemingly upscale cuisine with small portions ,mediocre value, snobbish servers and the air of pretentiousness. the second rocky's is an excellent family style restaurant with friendly hosts, congeniel waitstaff, good value and good food. you dont leave hungry at this rocky's. try the chicken stirfry. hmmm. with the first rocky's theres a good chance you'll still be hungry. with the bear in the restaurant seemingly friendlier than the waitstaff. their upscale cuisine didnt really impress me. my one visit was sufficient to dissuade from another foray into this jungle. the ambience was nice and my favorite part of this restaurant are their neat bathrooms. if you decide to venture to rocky's of northville may i suggest get a coffee, enjoy the ambience and the neat restrooms, skip the food your not missing much , avoid the surly waitstaff, enjoy the bear, he's friendlier than the staff. then head over to the real rocky's in westland. the ambience may not be quite as nice but the food is good and they are not snobs. the bathrooms are clean, theres no bear, but there is two plasma tvs and a faint wifi signal thats open. try their turkey salade. real turkey, not the processed stuff with salade dressing from the restaurant. you might even skate out with a tab of $20 for two. try that at rocky's of northville. plus the westland rocky's tosses in free desert. the owner of the westland rocky's might even stop by to say hi. try that at the place in northville. the owner of northville rocky's is probably nowhere in sight and i highly doubt will stop by to chat.
probably out bear hunting.

Of all the new restaurants in and around Northville, Rocky's continues to be one of the finest in terms of food preparation. Their raw oyster bar is outstanding as is the potato encrusted whitefish. We eat out every Saturday night and try to find new local eateries but we keep coming back to Rocky's.

first of all from the looks of the restaurant it looks like a wild game place, they have a huge bear and deerhead all over. but its the farthest thing from that. ive been there a few times and im not a huge seafood fan so i normally get red meat which they dont have a huge selection of. i get the rib eye and its just the run of the mill steak, ive had friends tell me the sea food is ok but in comparison to other great restaurants in northville i suggest you keep going. the menu is expensive and the overall feel doesnt seem like a upscale fish bar that they claim to be
