Buy From Elsewhere

Do yourself a favor, pay a few bucks more and buy from a more reputable store.
Terrible policies (25% restocking fee regardless of reason? Really? On $1000+ kitchen appliances). Terrible service, delivery issues.
Just save yourself the headache.
I ordered a kitchen appliance 10/3/11
I was told it would take almost 2 weeks to ship out of their own warehouse!
I asked them to push the delivery by a couple days, as I needed the appliance by the 2nd wkend following the order.
The service agent, Wendy Wheelis, told me that its impossible, that they were still on for the original scheduled ship date.
The original date passes, it hasnt left the warehouse.
They said it would mail out the following week by FEDEX.

Terrible Advice and Worse Customer Service

We had a terrible experience with WDC. Their plumbing ""expert"" gave us nothing but bad advice and recommendations. We'd describe what we needed, he'd make a recommendation, we'd trust his ""expertise""... then the products wouldn't work once we'd try to install.

They were supposed to be delivered 2-3 weeks after we paid... we didn't receive anything (not even a status call from WDC) for 2 MONTHS!

During those two months, we had to move forward on other parts of our reno. Some of the things we ordered from WDC didn't fit with what we had to install. WDC gave us a terrible time returning... after many visits and phone calls they finally let us return the merchandise but we were forced to pay a 25% restocking fee.

We called their corporate offices about our problems. They promised repeatedly that someone would respond to us.. .no one did. Evidently the bad service starts at the top.

They will say whatever they need to say in order to sell something..and then you were on your own. Do yourself a favor: go to the showroom to see the merchandise, but then order it from another online retailer.

Stay Away from this company! I was told by Kitchen Aid customer service that they suspect this company of selling ""scratch and dent"" appliances and representing them as ""new.""

I spent almost $10,000 replacing all my kitchen appliances from Warehouse Discount Center. The range has not worked since it was delivered 4 weeks ago (and still doesn't). They refused to replace it and have lied to me EVERY time I talk to anyone from this company. The manager at the Agoura Hills store, RUBEN GOMEZ is the most crooked, sleazy person I have ever dealt with.

I called Kitchen Aid today to ask them to replace the range since WDC has been completely useless in getting this situation resolved and I have been without a working range for 4 weeks. They told me the dealer should take care of that (of COURSE THEY SHOULD!). Kitchen Aid said most dealers would have replaced the range immediately if it was delivered DOA like that. Then they asked me if there was any scratch on the range anywhere. What an odd question, I thought. But YES, there's a scratch on top of the control panel and the whole panel looks pitted and the finish doesn't match the rest of the stove. They said they probably sold me a scratch and dent model and claimed it was new (apparently some dealers sell appliances knowing they are defective or open box, etc. and then have Kitchen Aid pay for repairs under warranty). I had the same model at my last home and it didn't look like this. All the metal matched on that one. This looks like it was scratched and then someone tried to buff it out to cover it up.

When I confronted RUBEN GOMEZ about it he played dumb and said the customer service person was probably in the midwest and didn't know what she was talking about. Huh? What does that have to do with you selling broken appliances and then dumping the problem onto Kitchen Aid? I said ""I didn't buy this appliance from Kitchen Aid, I bought it from YOU. And I expect YOU to take care of it."" How is that difficult to understand? This is like buying a brand new car and then after you have signed all the paperwork you find that the car won't start, and the dealer says ""Don't worry about it, the engine needs to be replaced but it's ok... it's under warranty.""

Do yourself a favor, don't be tempted by their low prices. You get what you pay for. These guys are crooks! There is SO much more to this story (dents in the stainless steel on both the refrigerator and hood, etc, etc.), but the short version is it has been a nightmare dealing with them. I have never had such a horrible experience with any company in my life. I wish someone had warned me about them.

Service was Excellent

Prices were low. I took a lot of time shopping for the best deal for a particular refrigerator online and this company was definately the lowest. What really made the experience positive was the service I received after the purchase was made. As a cherry on top, my refrigerator arrived with a small dent on the side. I expected this to be a hassle, but, when I called in the lady I spoke to actually gave me an option to exchange the refrigerator or provide 10% back without me even asking for it. The dent is small and I won't even see it because the side is covered by a cabinet. My already lowest price became another $200 lower.
