this quintessentially French 'in the hood' Bistro is one of my few 5star houses in the city. With the very most inviting Hosts, who remember both you and your wine and food preferences, whether you'd prefer a tiny table under the olive trees out front or being comfortably close to your neighbors in this intimate and oh! So Personable and Friendly it's my idea of a perfect casual AND PERFECT VENUE that consistently Pleases my Palate no matter how busy or what may be on the menu.Good Rabbit is so very difficult to find out, but theirs, Theirs I can recall on my palate and every one of my senses effortlessly.Paired with perfectly cooked house made spinach fettuccini with a mustard sauce My soul is fully satiated with hardly room to clean my plate. And their wine suggestion are spot on.There is certainly a lot of great food, French included, to be found in our food-centric City by the Bay- But in my book, Baker Street Bistro is one Craved Perfect Experience I can Rely on and ALWAYS look forward to.it's not even 1 pm on Sunday and I'm salivating at the very rhot!#Zagat - R u Listening?with Passion, Loyalty and Great Fondness,Rochelle FolesCole Valley

Brenda Brenda Brenda, where did your soul go? For some reason I remembered you being so much better 3 years ago. Now everything is just adequate. The food is good enough but definitely not worth it if you have to wait longer than 15 mins. Shrimp Pot Pie - more like sprimp gumbo with a crust at the bottom and cheese melted on top. Flavor is good but definitely not a pot pie.Pork Belly with Hashbrown - Good. You can't really go wrong with pork belly, potato, and a runny egg. Beignets (apple, plain, Ghiradeli chocolate) - Ok. Too thick and dry for my liking. Would I come back? Only if a friend of mine wants to come here and the line is less than a 15 min wait. There's too many options in SF to say this is THE spot.
Yes, it's expensive. Once you get past that, enjoy the excellent choreographed service and the tasty, well presented food. I had the lettuce with beer salad which was good. For my entree, I ordered the pork tenderloin which was excellent. Ambiance is cool - they have a train station theme going with the old departure signs hanging on the wall showing the different wines and their prices.
I started with the pig's head pate and also the bone marrow as an appetizer. Excellent. Then had the steak with pork belly. Melts in your mouth. The wine list is unbelievable. It is an encyclopedia. The decor is casual and fun.
Perfect little place to get delicious crepes. They can conveniently wrap them up and serve them so you can eat them on the go.
Good place for great crepes...great atmosphere and service. Friendly staff.
