Second time around for me and each implant procedure went well.

My questions were answered and the procedure dates went well .
I brought music to listen to and a mask to wear over my eyes, and if I needed to get up I had a clicker in my hand. I will have my third and final graft in the next year here at the office with Dr. Segal.

Osseous Surgery
Periodontal (gum) disease is the leading cause of tooth loss in adults and affects over 75 percent of Americans. Many people don’t even know they have this progressive disease. When gum disease advances from gingivitis to periodontitis or advanced periodontitis, severe damage to your oral structure occurs. At this stage, the disease becomes uncurbable—only manageable with periodic maintenance. Dr. Edward Segal offers the most effective treatment for periodontal disease: osseous surgery. This technique is generally the last step in gum disease treatment, and aims to remove disease-causing bacteria and recreate a healthy environment.
Tooth Extractions
While it is never ideal to lose one of your natural teeth, sometimes tooth extraction is necessary to save your oral health as a whole. We will always try and save a natural tooth before resorting to extraction, but when disease or damage has become too severe, there may be no other option. Braces
Wilckodontics, or Accelerated Osteogenic Orthodontics (AOO™), is one of today’s most advanced orthodontics system available to patients. Treatment begins with a minimally invasive surgical procedure performed under local anesthesia. Using specialized instruments, Dr. Segal creates small holes in the alveolar bone, the ridge of bone that contains the tooth sockets. In this temporary, “weakened” state, braces can move the teeth more freely and rapidly since there is less resistance from the now “soft” bone. Once the teeth are positioned in the correct place, the alveolar bone rebuilds itself and quickly heals the teeth in their new location. The newly positioned bone is stronger than before the procedure, and helps prolong the amount of time teeth remain straight after orthodontic treatment.
