Terrible experience. My parents went to Dr. McFadden for many years, so I thought I would just go there myself. I should have asked around! I have pain in my right foot, so I needed to see a Dr. right away. I scheduled an appt.,I went in 15 minutes early and ended up waiting 35 minutes and was told it would be another 20 minutes. There are a number of foot conditions that can develop if certain safety measures are ignored. Some of the most common conditions related to sports injuries include Achilles tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and stress fractures, to name a few.
Diabetic Foot Care
Routine foot care is important for everyone and it's especially important for diabetic patients. If an individual has diabetes, there can be accompanying nerve damage and circulation problems that can cause difficulty in feeling pain and inhibit healing. For these people who have foot problems that are left untreated, an infection may develop. It is critical for people who have diabetes to monitor their blood sugar levels daily, in addition to exercising regularly and eating healthy foods. Following a good diabetic foot care regimen is also suggested. This includes inspecting the feet for sores, redness, cuts, and blisters. It is beneficial that the feet are washed, dried, and moisturized each day, and toenails are properly trimmed weekly. A bunion is a bone deformity usually occurring at the base of the big toe. This is a progressive condition that is made worse by inward pressure from tight shoes. Bunions can be very painful, and in some instances surgery may be necessary to remove them.
Ingrown Toenails
Ingrown toenails can form when the side of a toenail begins to grow into the flesh surrounding the nail. As a result, the affected toe—most commonly the big toe—may become red, swollen, painful, and—in severe cases—infected.

Corns
Corns and calluses are hard layers of skin that usually form due to friction. Generally, they will be in areas of the foot that are bearing weight, or areas that frequently rub against the shoe. Soft corns are typically found between the toes.
Calluses
Hammertoe is a common foot condition that can happen from an imbalance of muscles surrounding the toe joints. Hammertoe can be categorized as classic hammertoe, mallet toe, and claw toe. In classic hammertoe, the affected toe will bend down at the joint and resemble a hammer. As toes are important to the balance of the foot and control pressure distribution, hammertoe can cause problems with walking. The affected toe can appear deformed, calluses can form on them, and it may be painful to wear shoes. Relief options for hammertoe pain can include choosing shoes with wide toe boxes, using toe pads, and wearing orthotics. If these conservative options are not successful and pain persists or worsens, surgery may be an option to straighten the toe.
