My husband and I went to Valentis for dinner, it was amazing and would go back over and over again it was so much fun the piano playing, the service and plate presentation was out of this world i don't know where these other people went to eat but mu Veal Parm(with red sauce) and the capri salad, well it was great, by the way the fish and chip special (my parents had it and said it was just right) does not say fish and fries but for 4.99 well you do the math. will be back
My husband and I went to this restaurant. We were started with 2 slices of bread and the salads consisted of lettuce and a slice of tomato. My husband ordered the fish and chips and when the food came we were surprised to find 4 pieces of fish and potato chips. We were thinking that chips would have been french fries as it usually is. The manager/owner said that it was their version of fish and chips. She even brought out the "5 star" chef. After telling her that we did not want that food she did not want to take the fish and "chips" off our bill. It ended up that she finally decided to take it off the bill. Along with that our drinks were never refilled and no plate for the bread.
If we were offered to have the fish and "chips" removed from the bill or some other alternative there would have been no problem. The customer should always be served to keep getting repeat business and also good word of mouth advertisement.
Went there last night 11/23/2011 and won't be back ! The owners wife greeted us and then explained in detail they live in Eden (who cares), her husband won the Iron Chef Award and that she HATES the restaurant (we loved hearing that from the owner). The food was nothing spectacular, I had spaghetti and ordered the meatballs ($2.00 extra), only got one. It was served hot and good, my husband had lasagna and he told me later it was just warm, and cold inside (perhaps it came from the freezer??) The vienna bread...UGH, served room temperature, no flavor (probably came from Budwey's). Our waitress was kinda 'goofy' mentioning all the food served for breakfast, lunch & dinner and complained that upon our arrival "all my tables were full so you had to wait." Well she was chatting up a storm right behind our booth about sleeping all day on Thanksgiving, blah, blah, blah. So for the dinner mentioned above and one beverage the price was $29.81, we won't be back.
My response to this as far as us living in Eden many of our guest ask us where we are from ,and when asked we love to talk with are guest as if they where sitting in our dinning room at home "we enjoy our guest" as far as the statment of me hating the restaurant i feel it was a conversation over herd by this guest and what was said was we are from florida and now live in eden i don't mind the drive as its nice but i am going to 'Hate the snow when it comes! and driving to the restaurant!
went to new restaurant for diner expected to order Italian - waitresses were good - ordered lasagna - sauce was salty did not taste Italian looked like it thrown on the plate - not the usual lasagna - sent back couldn't eat - went to pay bill they would not take off the charge for the lasagna diner was advised that they offered another meal so we were expected to pay for something that was not eaten - after much discussion owner took on attitude states that he would discount only this time very bad attitude
