Really gross. Its a peep show set up, so the smell here is sickening. Went there once, couldnt believe that people work there. How do they "lusty ladies" act all hot to trot with that reek in their nostrils? Wouldnt go back though have thought about it. I didnt get my moneys worth if you know what I mean, wasnt looking too though. By the way there was a pretty young blonde dancing when I went, and I'm pretty sure she was a few months pregnant...yowzers! Gross.

The Castro theater is the oldest theater in California, the seats are cramped, the sound is marginal and the screen is smaller than modern ones - yet the experience of seeing ANY film at the Castro beats any other movie-going experience available! Get that popcorn with REAL butter and enjoy the experience of a movie at the Castro! I simply cannot describe how extraordinary this theater is!
Great deal NOW- all films at all times at $3.50 thats right -They are now playing what I would call second run films. Those that have been released to the public and now are at the end of thier run- if you can wait go see it here and Tuesday nights are $2.00 popcorn night !
Beautiful intimate theater. I saw Hugh Jackman's one man show here it was absolutely wonderful to be so close to the stage. Its not a mega big theater. It felt like a small private showing love the feel of it. Staff was very friendly.
Saw Connie Francis here last year. It's still a grand old theater. I hope she's still around when I'm old. The only minus is the parking -- very difficult to find in the Castro/Market Street area.
good place. good seating. great concessions great food good people. great movie selection. nice neighborhood theatre. always enjoy seeing movies here. I look forward to seeing any more movies here.
In the short time I went to theaters in San Francisco, this was one of the better ones. I didn't find many exception or real good ones so this might have been my favorite. Good service anyhow.
Fabulous vintage theater. Just saw the amazing Hamilton there. As close as you can get to a Broadway theatre-type experience on the west coast.
best movie theater in the world! no more standing in line for popcorn and missing the first part of your movie! they bring it to you!!!
Love the no talking rule! Food and service is great. This is how cinema should be. decent food and a Complete Movies experience.
