All these reviews are true. This hospital needs to be shut down. My mother went there with an upset stomach and diarrhea back in 2000. After an unnecessary gallbladder removal and two unnecessary exploratory Surgeries she ended up with sepsis and respiratory failure. She spent 56 days in ICU on life support as every organ in her body failed when finally her heart failed and she died at the age of 53. She left behind a husband, three children and five young grandchildren. The youngest was only four months old. Our family still mourns our loss. This hospital makes deadly mistakes that costs lives and tears families apart. Please go the extra few miles to Baylor or HEB. Avoid North Hills if you value your life and your family.

Dont take my word for it, moniter the medical examiner's press release page, this hospital has an alarming number of deaths occuring at it.Don't let your loved ones become their victims! First hand experience in this! my daughter went in with a "tummy ache" sent home with pain meds instead of treating her! She DIED less than 24 hours later from organ failure which could have been prevented if they had treated her for pancreatitis! Catscan showed enlarged and enflamed organ prior to release. NO INSURANCE= WE DONt CARE IF YOU DIE BECAUSE WE ARE AFRAID WE WON'T gEt PAID!!!.
Dr. Safely was extremely helpful with handling the stress and discomfort of the procedure.
The care and level of concern here is so great and very comforting. Thank you sincerely.
Dr. Khan was wonderful! He was patient with our 14 month-old daughter and took the time to inform us about the care of her teeth as well as her development. Also, I love how vibrant and whimsical the office looks...very kid friendly, especially with the video/computer games in the waiting room!
Thank you Dr. Safely, you have been so helpful. Very thorough and gentle. I would also like to thank the staff for being so nice and accommodating. I am very grateful.
Dr. Safely is one of the most caring, compassionate physicians I have ever had the privilege to see, not only to his patients but also to his hospital staff. He is always willing to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care and outcomes to his patients while providing a safe environment to nursing staff. He is very attentive to detail and always willing to listen to input and suggestions to improve patient care. He keeps up to date on current issues and latest treatments for his patients. I know few people whom I would recommend more highly than Dr. Chuck Safely, both personally and professionally
BEWARE of what day that you go. Went on New Years Day as a preventative measure to protect others - checking to see if I had flu. I did not see that signs (Supposedly everywhere) and was NOT told that they were only doing Emergency Care that day until after the incompetent girl behind the desk ran my credit card for $150. I had NOT been seen by the nurse or doctor. I declined services at that time and was told that she could not give me a credit because she did not know how to run a credit. She then told me that 'Sandy' would credit me the next day for the difference of Urgent Care, which was $40 and that I could go ahead and be seen. Even the nurse said that I could decline services. But being reassured that I would get a credit, I proceeded to be seen. Well it is the 8th of January and the lovely Jack (Poor customer services skills) just informed me that they could not credit me. I would have gladly come back the next day to save $110 freaking dollars. Get your story straight PEOPLE!! The front desk, nurse, Sandy and Jack are giving this place a bad name. Can't wait to see if I get any additional bills.
Great doctors and nurses! They called to check on my mom a few times. So caring. I would highly recommend them.
I love EMC Express. Dr. Genco is very passionate when it comes to his patients & the costs. I'm baffled by the reviews below. I've been going here since Dr. Genco opened. Your co-pay is what your Urgent Care Cost with your insurance AND NOT a ER Co-pay which other ER Clinics charge. My co-pay for urgent care is $50 while my co-pay for an ER visit is $250 in which Dr. Genco's office can do they exact same things the other ER facilities do at the cost of an Urgent Care Co-pay. EMC can't determine what your insurance company will or won't pay. They collect for your co-pay & if they are not in your insurance providers list, of course there will be extra charges that may not be covered. I will pay an Urgent Co-pay & 20% of a lab test not covered any day over a ER Co-pay of $250 & 20% of lab costs. Dr. Genco has an incredible heart & recognizes the ridiculous scams with the small ER Clincs."We don't have to satisfy a bureaucratic corporation or distant owners that crave ever increasing profits." Google the other ER Clinics & see if they are privately owned by a Physician or Company (more than likely out of State)
