Since no one has written a review on here since 2005, I feel compelled to share my experience. All I can say is STAY AWAY! The rooms were affordable but that was the only plus to this place. Our one-bedroom unit was decorated okay, but I consider that a testament to the private owners of this establishment. No towels, dated amenities and the world's scariest elevator.
The woman who worked the front desk (maybe not the same one from earlier reviews, but was blonde and just as rude as the previous review), Joanne, was horrendous. My parents who were staying two beaches down, stopped by to visit my two year old. When my husband asked about parking and was informed of the charge, my parents decided to park roadside because they were only staying for an hour. When my husband walked back through the lobby, Joanne, told him he needed to come sign his bill and that she was charging $20 for the two visitors. We explained they just stopped by and weren't staying long and she very rudely told him it didn't matter. I also asked why these type of practices weren't disclosed at check-in to which she replied that she didn't have to because as she said, ""they never have"" and that it was ""something they did on holidays."" To which, I reiterated seemed like something important to disclose at check-in since this was, in fact, a holiday weekend. Meanwhile, you could never enjoy the pool was filled with other visitors all day long who hadn't paid the fee, yet felt comfortable enough drinking and blaring their music.
I will never EVER go back and would recommend that no one else have to deal with this place either.

This resort has a wonderful down home cozy feel. It has very nice staff, right on the beach, updated rooms, pool, and is well maintained. They recently put new pavers around the pool which look very nice. makes the pool area not slippery at all. I love this place and would definetly recommend it to all.

I have stayed at this resort for 20 years. I started out as a child myself and have since taken my children to enjoy the 4th of July. This past holiday I was cursed out because my 7 yr old child was in the pool (by himself) with arm floats. The blond headed devil (front desk clerk) called me a ignorant MF because I asked to speak with the manager. I hated to inform her that I am a model citizen and I was not prepared to engage her in combat. I told her she was sure a nice person as she cursed me out. I will never return to this resort and would not recommend it to my worst enemy. The place is falling apart year by year. The ice machine is broken, the pool deck is like glass, the room electrical is a fire hazard, etc. Save yourself and stay somewhere else..
