So, I recently moved to Raleigh and had taste for Chinese Food, so being that this restaurant wasn't far from where I lived and I read some pretty decent reviews, I decided to give it a try. My first order; fried chicken, an egg roll, and fried rice with peas, eggs and onions in it, was absolutely delicious. It didn't matter that they advertise their fried chicken as chicken wings although not all pieces are wings, however it was scrumptious. My second order was also very tasty; sweet & sour chicken and fried rice. The 3rd time I ordered food from here and went to pick it up, it was on a Sunday evening; for they don't open until 4pm on Sundays so I called to place my order at 4:15pm. This time I ordered the fried chicken dinner again and was disappointed because I can tell that the food was not freshly cooked- the chicken had to be left overs from the day before because it was rubbery and the rice wasn't fresh either- they hadn't even put any peas, onions, and eggs in it- just plain, flavorless rice. I was starving at the time so wasn't a happy camper. Since then I've placed a few more orders; some good and the others not so good, but here's my resolution to King's Wok Chinese Restaurant and maybe it'll work for you. What I now do when placing an order at this restaurant is specify that I'd like my food prepared "fresh" whether I order over the phone or walk in. I'll wait an extra 15 minutes if I have to, but being a cook myself, I know fresh food when I eat it versus day old food. Overall, I'm still going to give them a 4 stars because if you receive it fresh, it's filling, delicious, and will have you returning for more. I hope that this review is helpful to anyone wanting to try this restaurant.
I really like this place. I generally have gotten takeout: the sesame chicken and the chicken n broccoli. Both dishes contain chicken that tastes su…
I am a bit stunned. I always liked Peking Garden years ago. I picked up lunch there today 0 shrimp and lobster sauce lunch portion. What I received was a deep pool of lobster sauce with 5 shrimp and the only vegetables were a portion of a bag of frozen peas & carrots. Can't fool me! I know what frozen cube carrots look like...nothing like typical Chinese restaurant's julienned version. But only maybe 1/2 a cup of the peas and carrots and no other veggies. No mushrooms, as the menu says. And trust me, they were frozen. I asked for brown rice but was given white. Hot and sour soup was good. Proceed at your own risk when doing takeout here. At least when seated and eating there you can fix your order.
Located on the side of the Kroger shopping center at the intersection of Strickland and Falls of Neuse, this small Chinese takeout offers some rally good food. The owners are a delightful Chinese couple who are always smiling and friendly. When I want buffet, I got to Eastern Chinese, but when I want Sesame Chicken as an entree for takeout, this is where I go. The Sesame Chicken literally just melts in your melt, the chicken is so tender. The sauce is the best I have had. My roommates like the Sesame Shrimp and swears its the best. I love this place!
I eat a lot of chinese delivery food, more so than pizza or anything else. This place is the best I've had in a long time. The food was well cooked and the meats were good quality. I am actually ordering from there for the 2nd night in a row just so I can try out some more menu items. The 3 Star General, Sa Cha Delight, Fried Wontons and Hot and Sour Soup are really great. Tonight I am trying Kang Pao Chicken and Crab Rangoons. This place definitely deserves a try and you will not be disappointed.
My absolute favorite buffet ever. I love Americanized Chinese buffets and have dined at so many different ones all over the U.S. Eastern is hands down my absolute favorite. My favorites: sesame chicken, chicken and broccoli, mongolian chicken, black pepper chicken, sweet and sour chicken, the egg rolls and lo mein. Their food is AWESOME. I have been eating here regularly since 2003. Anytime I get the craving for chinese buffet, this is where I go!
The amont of oxtails vary each order, never consistent. You must specify that you do not want a plate of bones when ordering oxtails... if not they will give you the bones instead of throwing them out to the alley cats.... As far as the Capital Blvd location. The people up front are not friendly, nor seem to appreciate my business. If I new of another place to get quality oxtails in Raleigh I would not get them from Lee's Kitchen.
I dine at this returant a lot., food is very good. Always a variety on the buffet. Great service, very friendly staff. Prices are reasonable i'm always ready to eat out when someone says lets eat chinese. I find the place to be extremely clean ,which to me makes a meal more enjoyable. And the staff, is always clean uniforms are alway spotless. I reccomend this resturant to all my friends, and family.
I just finally found a Chinese Restaurant that delivers to the Gorman st. and Western Blvd. area!!! Man, I couldn't have asked for better!!! I am disabled, and my vision has been dimmed for the last few days, and I needed some Kung Po. I called China Queen and they were here in about 25 minutes, with steeping hot food! I am Thankful China Queen! Blessings on You!!! Howard
I have gotten takeout from here since they first opened many years ago. Myself and my now former fiance from China always enjoyed our meals from Handy Kitchen. Our favorites: sesame chicken, szechuan chicken, and garlic chicken. Family owned by some really nice people too, it is clean, friendly and offers great food at a great price. I will continue to be a customer.
Bali Hai really does have the best Mongolian BBQ around---they are the original and have been around way before all of the Crazy Fire restaraunts. The ambience is not real great, but the food is perfect and very consistent. Be sure to check their hours before going though, since they are closed between lunch and dinner.
