The Tire Choice

I dropped of my truck that I had just bought, to have them to check out my brakes, because they would stick every so often. I was told they would call me within a hour since I was first in line. After 2 hours, I called them, and they told me they hadn't had a chance to look at them yet. So after a total of 6 hours they called me, and told me, I needed a new master cylinder, I needed all my breaks, and calipers replaced, 2 front break lines replaced, Then they also told me, I needed my break line system flushed, because it was contaminated. I was quoted $1500.00 for all that. I told them to forget it, and I would take it somewhere else. The manager Gill called me back about 2 minutes later, and said he'd give me a deal at $1200.00. I told him I'd think about it on the way back up there to pick it up. When I got there I told him to forget it. He told me at least let him put some new brakes on, and I told him no. Ended up being a cracked cap on the master cylinder...BEWARE

Came here for two tires. They didn't clean the black rubber off of them and also scratched my rim. They also took two lug nuts off my car claiming it was like that. I had just took it to NH with all in tact. They claimed I had no brakes and my rotors had hot spots on them. As I am a single mom I had no money to fix it but had my dad take a look and fix the brakes. Turns out rotors were fine and still had some brakes left. Don't believe these people, they lie! I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. After noticing the rims, which happened first, I took it back and they used laquer thinner I believe to rub off the "black" after proceeding to tell me they don't even touch the rims...really??? But it was still scratched where it hadent been before and there is nothing I can do about it.

Took my wifes car in for an oil change. Told the man behind the counter that I had a coupon for $19.99. Have done this at this store with all four of our cars. Never again! Charge $9 labor, shop fees, extra because he said it called for 5W20 and it costs more then 5W30 (BS!) and so on. Totaled up to almost $35.00! Beware!

I went to tire choice, North port location, and the new manager was not helpful at all. I have a lawn company and used to buy a lot of trailer and truck tires there when Nathan was the manager. Now that he is there he seems to charge more and sell more without thinking of the needs of the customer. He told me as well that I needed a bunch of work done... which I did not. I won't go there as long as he is there. Where did Nathan, the old manager, go?

I feel the need to share my horrible experience at this shop. I have a Toyota Prius and all I wanted was a simple oil change. Gil the man on duty asked me how many miles I had on my car, I told him 100,000 miles. He proceeded to tell me I needed a flush.. I said flush?? I just want an oil change. I was not interested in a flush and by the way what kind of flush. It was 5pm and I want to just go home. The store closes at 7pm. Okay so he started in again about the flush but was condescending and belittling. He I said I just want an oil change please? Can't I just get an oil change????. Then he said sure but it will be a 2 hour wait. I turned around and walked out . I went to Grease Monkey and had my oil change in 5 minutes and the guy there said I did not need a flush of any kind. I am warning you this place is dishonest and they try and bully women. They want to up sale. Stay away. Hope this helps.
