Since I've met my GF, we have been going out to eat late night dinner 3 to 4 times a week. Mai Lai Wah is one of the best spots in Chinatown. We went to several other restaurants past midnight and the crowds are usually small. The news is out that Mai Lai Wah has the best crowd and good food at the most reasonable prices. Every time, we are there at either 1am or 2am, there is still a big crowd. We feel right at home and the staff recognized us after our 10th visits in 3 weeks. Our favorites are the clam with X.O. sauce and soft tofu sauteed with Chinese vegetable. Highly recommended! N. Tien
This place is a very nice place to go to if you're hungry and you want to eat some good food. Plus, it doesn't take long for the food to be done, even if you place a large order. The food is so good and I come here almost 2 times every week. Its very cheap and well worth the visit. The atmosphere is friendly and you get treated very well. They also offer good deals like "Spend $20, get a free 2 liter of soda." Its really hard to choose what to spend you $20 on because it is so good and you also get a good amount of food. The portions are excellent.
Their food is No.1 in philly; I couldn't find any other restaurant that can compare to them. I ordered a chicken chow mei and General Tso's chicken once, they made the foods taste exactly what i wanted. A lot of time restaurants make the General Tso's chicken too hard or too soft, but they made it crispy and juicy. It is also easy for elder to eat. Moreover, the white sauce that they use on the chicken chow mei it tastes so good, not too much sauce or too dry. They're the best chinese food I have ever tasted.
Best Chinese Takeout in Mt. Airy. When it comes to Chinese food, I am VERY particular because of a horrible experience I had once. It took me years until I decided to give another restaurant a try. Panda Garden is consistently good. The food is fresh and the flavors are what you would expect from Chinese takeout...nothing fancy (which I appreciate). They deliver to certain areas, but I have picked up from them enough times to be able to know that the physical restaurant space is clean and well maintained.
Pretty clean for a chinese store in the hood. They also got heat in there so thats good when you gotta wait for the food during the winter. So the food is like any other chinese stores but the owner of the store (Sam) is the best chinese cook on this whole street. He will try to make the best food for you. He will ask how would you like them and how did the food taste. A good owner and a good store. 5/5
Best chicken wings ever!!! I have visited each of their restaurants in Philadelphia. I was skeptical of visiting this newest location at Broad & St. Luke because I had only eaten at the Baltimore avenue place. While I had chicken wings from the Olney Plaza location they did not taste as good...but they were still tasty. So I was extremely pleased that this newest location is just as good as the original!!!
Though it's a smaller restaurant in a strip mall, they have great service and their food is outstanding! I used to live very close to them and went there religiously every week. They knew me by name and always greeted me with a smile and had my food ready and waiting for me. Though I moved away, I've made a few trips back from time to time.
We always order the food from this place and are very well satisfied. They always make good food and deliveries are very much timely. I have ordered from different places just to compare the food, King Wok at Philmont is currently the best in the area. Keep up the good work, Reference for Restaurant: 15112
great food, exceptional service, love their daily specials, I live in w. mt airy and the delivery was good, my firends live in erdenheim and their deliver time was good, told they have a wide delivery area, nice decorations with bar for eatin dining, reasonable price for the area,
Charlie's is my favorite Chinese restaurant. They have Chinese food with a healthier spin. They serve chicken and tofu so it's vegetarian friendly. I love their tofu dumplings. I can't wait to eat here again next time I go to Chinatown.
